10 Romantic Wedding Anniversary Ideas For Couples – Cheap But Unique, cheap

10 Romantic, Memorable, and Affordable Wedding or Dating Anniversary Ideas For Couples

Cheap business ideas

Time flies when you are having fun and when you are with the one you love. As the years go by, perhaps your anniversaries begin to sneak up on you, with you and your loved one seemingly always ending up going out to dinner again. Or perhaps the big day comes and goes, and you don t do anything at all because you are on a tight budget and can t think of something to do that is celebratory, memorable, and won t cost a fortune. (Sure, a trip to the wine country sounds perfect; but is it worth refinancing your home and mortgage to finance this?)

Well, luckily, you can be both romantic and financially smart. Here are 10 inexpensive and exciting new ways to celebrate your anniversary.

Wedding Anniversary Date Ideas for Couples

1. Recreate Your Wedding Night Menu

Try to recreate your first married meal with your spouse. Work together to choose recipes, go shopping for the ingredients, and cook as a team. My wedding dinner included an elegant tomato salad and chicken piccata not something I would normally take the time to make at home! Making it with my husband would certainly be a fun challenge. For those of you who are really ambitious, try recreating your wedding cake. If you are not married and celebrating a dating anniversary, try to cook what you ate on your first date. Cooking, in general, is an extremely fun and cheap dating idea that you should always consider. If you re still not sure what to do, find a new special recipe or use an online service like E-mealz to plan out your meal. End the evening snuggling on the couch, watching the first movie you saw together.

2. Relive Your First Date

My first date with my husband was at a fast food sandwich restaurant, followed by stargazing. Since then, the restaurant has shut down, and the place where we went stargazing is no longer accessible. Perhaps the biggest obstacle is that we now live 500 miles from where we first met and dated! Still, even if we can t exactly recreate our first date, we could go to another sandwich place and find another field from which to watch the sky. First dates are usually inexpensive ones, so you can relive those memories at a reasonable price.

3. Have Your Own Personal Photo Shoot

Make a list of some of your favorite places around town, load up your camera, and have your own photo shoot! Go to places that hold special meaning to you and your significant other. Perhaps you could stop at the place you had your first kiss or the church where you were married. Ask a passerby to take a couple shots of you. Another idea is to simply take a photo of you together each year on your anniversary. Keep an anniversary album for these special memories.

4. Make an Anniversary Mix CD

Make a CD of all the songs that have meaning in your relationship, and go somewhere special to relax and listen. Share with each other the memories you associate with the songs. Another idea is for each person to make a CD to share with the other. Then, stay home and dance!

5. Do Something New

My husband and I just celebrated our fourth anniversary. And yet again, we went out to a restaurant, which was great, but dining out is nothing new or particularly exciting. So for next year, we have decided to go for a hot air balloon ride. Yes, it s expensive, but we are planning ahead to spend a little more next year since it will be a milestone year. Is there a romantic, cheap weekend getaway package that you and your spouse have always wanted to explore but have never gotten around to doing?

6. Get Crafty

If you are feeling a little artsy, go decorate some pottery for each other (most towns have a DIY pottery studio or two). Or make something together, like a photo album or scrapbook of the previous year s events.

7. Watch Your Wedding Video

I don t think I have ever watched my wedding video. Honestly, I am not even sure where it is. But what s the point of having a video made if you are not going to watch it? Your anniversary is a great opportunity to remember that special day, so dust off that wedding DVD and watch highlights together. If you don t have one, perhaps you have a video of a vacation you took or another memorable occasion. If not, look through your wedding album or pictures that you have taken throughout your years together.

8. Give Thoughtful Gifts

For each anniversary year, there are traditional gifts that you can give. For example, the gift for the first year is traditionally paper. Consider giving your spouse stationery you have customized, a book, a love letter, or anything else associated with paper. It doesn t have to be expensive, just thoughtful. There is also a modern anniversary gift for each year. For example, for the fourth anniversary, the modern gift is appliances, which could be a lot cheaper than a pricey piece of technology. If you re interested in what these gifts are, here is a handy list of traditional and modern anniversary gifts by year.

9. Match Your Gift with Your Anniversary Year

If this is your fifth anniversary, give five roses. If this is your 10th anniversary, give a 10-minute massage. Be thoughtful and fun. Make a game out of it, and see who can come up with the most creative number-themed gift.

10. Just Be Together

Take the day off from work, turn off the cell phone, stop checking your email, and just spend some quality time together and save money. Keep it simple and remove yourselves from your busy everyday lives. Celebrate your life together because that is what your anniversary is all about.

What creative date ideas do you have for celebrating anniversaries?

What is a Safe Zone and Bleed when it comes to creating my cards?

Your Safe Zone is the area where all your elements (text, images, logos, etc) must be placed so that they are not cut off when the product is trimmed to the final size.

The Bleed is the part outside of the Safe Zone that gets trimmed off when the product is trimmed to its final size. Bleed is short for all the graphics on a product that will bleed off the document so that the color continues to the edge of your cards. Most of our business cards have a 0.1 Bleed.

In this case, you can head over to our design services, where one of our professional graphic designers will work with you to create a completely unique and personal design.

What’s your turnaround time?

We do our best to offer the most convenient turnaround times for each customer. Please be aware that times may change due to delays in production.

The turnaround time begins a day after your order is approved and the payment is processed. However, if it is completed by 9AM PST/ 11AM CT/ 12 PM ET, then the turnaround time begins that day.

The shipping time is different from the turnaround time. Shipping begins once the production of your cards are complete. From there, it will take 2-6 days, depending on the stock of your cards. You may also choose Express or 2 day delivery if you need them at a sooner date. To learn more about the turnaround and shipping times, please visit our Turnaround Time page.

What’s business insurance?

Business insurance includes cover that protects you and your company from financial damages andbuilding or contents losses, relevant to your field or specialism.

Broadly speaking, the most popular business insurance policies include public liability, professional indemnity and employers’ liability, with good reason:

Public liability insurance

Hell hath no fury like a scorned member of the public, especially when it comes to claims.

Public liability insurance protects you if you damage their property, if they have an accident on your premises, or if you provide any advice or service (that doesn’t pan out) for a fee.

Professional indemnity insurance

If one of your customers sues you because you’ve damaged their property, or they claim you haven’t fulfilled your duties, professional indemnity insurance to the rescue to cover your legal fees.

Employers’ liability

It’ll cover the cost of the compensation plus legal fees if an employee sues you if they’re injured, or they contract a disease at work.

But different policies will include all sorts of other cover, and you can make your policy suit the nuances of your business – fancy, eh?

You can read all about more specialist business insurance in our guides and tips filed away in the Business insurance briefcase.

Company insurance comparison

Business notes

  • Employers’ liability insurance is compulsory for businesses that have one or more employees
  • Glass and shutters insurance can cover replacement following accidental or malicious damage

To compare business insurance for your company, you’ll need details about your business and the level of cover you want. That includes public or product liability insurance, professional indemnity cover, buildings insurance, revenue protection or business interruption cover, protection for your business and office equipment and stock.

Start your business insurance quote

Have to hand info about claims made by your firm in the last five years, or any pending.

Depending on the sort of cover you choose, you may also be asked for some more detailed info about your company and its work.

You’ll then either be presented with your quotes online, or – if your circumstances don’t allow for an instant quote – your details will be passed on to an insurance specialist to look at.

Need to know more about business insurance?

Simply Business has insurance specialists on hand in the UK to chat through any questions you have, so don’t be nervous – give them a call if you’re unsure.

But, we’ve also got heaps of guides, tips and factoids stowed away in our Business insurance briefcase to help you with any quandaries – we’re straightforward, so you won’t find buzzwords or marketing jargon here.

The guides help you with your first steps, such as sensible levels of cover, business contents insurance, business buildings insurance, differences if you’re a landlord or a tenant, options for working from home, and insurance for your business assets and equipment.

We unpick the technical cover, too. Watch out for guides to liability insurance, professional indemnity insurance and employers’ liability insurance.

Plus, check out info about goods in transit cover, business travel insurance, business interruption cover, commercial legal insurance, fidelity guarantees, and insurance cover for tools, data processing, engineering, credit, loss of cash, and glass and shutters.

Tips To Find Your Inexpensive And Beautiful Venue

    Cheap business ideas

    1. Wherever you live there will always be the traditional and highly sort-after venues, if you want your wedding reception there and you don’t want to be paying top dollar then you need to be flexible. Firstly call and ask for wedding brochures from all of the venues in your town – this way you will know what the ball park figure of a normal wedding will be. Most venue’s wedding season will start at Easter and go through to September, with a few weddings at Christmas. If you can avoid these times then this will put you in a good place to negotiate extras into the price. The best time in most hotels is January, this is an historically quiet month and any business at the weekend will be good for them!
    2. If you were a conference booking then the hotel would be throwing in complimentary rooms for the organisers, free upgrades on other rooms and set menus at a reduced price. If the venue is not offering these for your wedding start asking if they are included.
    3. Tips to find great cheap wedding locations.
    4. Ask to see the venue when it is set for a wedding, most places this will be the night before to avoid any last minute panics. Look at the attention to detail that the set up has got. Be nice to the sales person at the venue, eveyone likes friendly people and they are much more likely to give more to gain your business.
    5. When you are planning a cheap wedding it helps to be cheeky, if you have decided on a particular venue, phone them up and say that you would love their hotel, bar or restaurant for your wedding reception, confirm numbers to them but say that you have visited other places which have come in slightly cheaper. Is there any way that they could look at a discount or include extras to make up the cost? Explain that if they could then you would be happy to bring in your deposit that weekend to secure the date. All venues love confirmed bookings and they will be used to this type of negotiation from company bookings, you will get some extras or they may meet you half way, either way you have saved money with a cheap reception.

    Cheap Wedding Entertainment Ideas

Entertainment can be another big expense, if you know a band or a dj then this can help in getting the price down or extra time on the night.

If you are getting nervous about your first dance then check out our

If fireworks are your dream finale to your wedding but just too expensive then sky lanterns are a great and beautiful alternative. Have a look at our guide to sky lanterns here! Love the fact that so many discount and dollar stores have been stocking them recently, which would mean even more of a saving.

Another great idea for your wedding reception entertainment is to look at creating a video montage of your romantic and special moments, some great cheap wedding video tips here!

And if your guests like to have a giggle and flex their brains then you might want to think about some wedding reception games.

    Writing Wedding Speeches And Prayers

    Ceremony Ideas

    • Having your ceremony at your usual place of worship normally will cost less than if you are just choosing it because it will look good in the photos. What I mean by that is that you will know the people there and they will know you, this is about friends and not about them making money.
    • Another way to save money is to have a Court House wedding, lots of great couples have started married life saying their vows in one of these.
    • And another idea is to choose having your ceremony at a place that is magical to you. You will of course need to speak to the venue if it is a public place and there may be a fee. Plus you will also need to have an officiant there too.

Wedding Officiant -A nationwide officiant, minister finder site for engaged couples. We are based in Arizona, but have a presence nationwide in USA. It’s really simple- we receive couple’s ceremony specifics, then choose the officiant, minister who meets our strict criteria.

Secrets to Finding Cheap Business Insurance

Face it, business insurance is a necessary expense. That’s why finding a cheap business insurance policy is every business owner’s goal. But is finding an affordable business insurance policy impossible without using a substandard company or sacrificing valuable coverage? Not necessarily.

When was the last time you shopped for competitive business insurance quotes? Insurance is in constant flux. The same company that made you cry a year ago could have the best deal today. The first secret to finding a good business insurance policy is making the effort to look. By doing your homework, you can compare several policies and multiple companies, even. Make sure to take the time to get at least three Business Insurance Quotes

    Cheap business insurance

    Know Your Business Insurance Coverage

This is easier said than done and you may very well need help with this one. That said, finding a cheap business insurance policy is impossible if you don’t know what your business insurance covers. For example, are you paying to insure that rickety old shed out back that is on its last leg? Did you know that you could pay a lower limit to insure equipment if it is used to maintain your building? Without reviewing the policy, there is no way to know exactly what you are paying for and where you could save money.

Understanding what you want to insure is the second secret to finding affordable business insurance. Find an insurance company with which you feel comfortable discussing more complicated issues. This will help you and your insurance company to discover ways to control your business insurance costs without sacrificing valuable coverage.

    Find a Tailor

Do you pay a fortune adding “Additional Insureds” to your policy? Are you paying extra for the cost to replace your building with similar materials and quality when you know you’d replace it with a cheaper, stronger metal building if it were destroyed? Did you know that many insurance companies have endorsements available to address these and other issues that cost you money?

The third secret to finding an affordable business insurance policy is to identify areas where you feel you are paying too much. Make a list. Take this list to other insurance companies and identify your areas of concern. Also, there may be an insurance company with the resources to help tailor coverage to fit your needs and budget.

    The Bottom Line

Finding a business insurance policy that fits your needs, and is in your price range, is not impossible. You can tailor your policy to your business with a little bit of research and legwork. Make sure to know what you’re paying for and study every business insurance policy that you’re considering carefully. By taking a little extra time now, you can save yourself a lot of money in the long run.

Identify your areas of concern. Also, there may be an insurance company with the resources to help tailor coverage to fit your needs and budget.

    1. Move Flowers from the Ceremony to the Reception

I didn t want to spend a lot on flowers at my wedding so what I did was transfer the flowers that were set up at the ceremony over to the reception venue. Since I didn t have too many, the person who was in charge of this task had no problem grabbing the altar flower display, taking it to the reception, and giving it to the wedding planner who got it inside the reception hall before anyone entered.

    2. Re-purpose the Bridal Bouquets

At the reception, your bridesmaids won t have a need for their flower bouquets, so why not use them in vases as wedding centerpiece ideas or as decorations for the cake table?

Just like with your wedding food, using flowers that are in-season can save you a lot of money. For example, tulips are beautiful, but they are winter/early spring flowers. If you are able to find them during their off-season, the price could be as much as 5 times the cost during their in-season.

Some flowers are just cheaper than others. Carnations are probably the cheapest flowers that you can get. Gerber daisies are also inexpensive. If you are not a fan of either of those, use them for some things, like alter bouquets, and then get a more expensive flower for the bride s bouquet if that is preferred.

For a simple, yet elegant look to your wedding, use lots of greenery instead of flowers. Leaves can be just as stunning as a bouquet, especially if you create one from fall branches and they re much cheaper too.

Inquire if there are any other weddings taking place the same day as your ceremony at your venue. If so, see if you can contact the other bride and groom to see if they would like to use the same flowers and split the cost.

    7. Order Your Flowers Online

You can save quite a bit of money by purchasing your flowers from an online wholesaler, which is much less expensive than your local florist. That being said, you will have to trim the flowers, arrange them, and care for them prior to the wedding yourself.

Sometimes less is more. Not only will being simplistic cost you less, it may add to the overall impression of your wedding. An easy way to simplify wedding flowers is to get just the basics: bouquets, boutonnieres, and an altar arrangement.

You may have to compromise with your decorations if you are on a budget. This is especially true with your flowers. Be open to several different types when it is time for you to choose. If you decide to buy your flowers through a local florist instead of online, tell your florist your budget and see what types of flowers she proposes to you and be open to the suggestions.

    10. Have a Christmas or Easter Wedding

Churches are already beautifully decorated with flowers for both Christmas and Easter. Take advantage of that fact by setting your wedding date during the Christmas or Easter seasons.

    11. Have a Small Bridal Party

Since a big chunk of your flower money will be going to bouquets and boutonnieres, you can cut down on your wedding flower costs by going with a smaller wedding party. This will also save money on dresses, tuxedos, and bridal party gifts, just to name a few.

    12. Use Flowers from Your Own Garden

If you have a garden, are there any flowers that will be in bloom at the time of your wedding? If not, consider planting some so that they will be ready in time for the big day. You can start a basic garden for not too much money.

    13. Have Your Wedding in a Garden

There s no need to buy any arrangements if you are already in a garden! Gardens make beautiful and inexpensive wedding venues anyway.

Have you ever found yourself questioning if some flowers were real or fake? So why buy real flowers at all? Not only are silk flowers beautiful, they also last forever unlike real flowers, and you can arrange them exactly as you want them weeks before the wedding. And if you don t want to keep your silk flowers once your wedding is over, consider selling them on eBay for someone else to use at their wedding.

Just as I suggested that you sell your silk flowers once your wedding is over, you could also buy silk wedding flowers that were already used. This is a good alternative for someone who would like silk flowers but has no experience arranging them. And once you re done with them, sell them again.

If you know someone who had silk flowers at their wedding, contact them to see if they would allow you to borrow them. If they let you, you will hopefully not have to spend a dime on flowers!

My cousin used peacock feathers for the boutonnieres (and even wore one in her hair!) for a super-chic look. For centerpieces, you can replace flowers with candles or lanterns, which would work beautifully for an evening wedding. Get creative! You can save money, and still have a gorgeous wedding, without flowers.

    Final Word

I was really intimidated when it was time for me to pick out flowers for my own wedding. Since I knew so little about flowers, I consulted a local florist and worked closely with them to figure out what flowers would fit my budget. I only had two bouquets, a couple boutonnieres, corsages for my grandmas, and an altar arrangement. My total flower bill was only $200. With the above tips, you too can save a fortune on wedding flowers.

What have you done to cut the costs of wedding flowers? Did you have to sacrifice aesthetics at all, or did you replace the flowers with something else?

One thing to remember when designing and ordering your cheap business Cards:

The art of successful networking is not about how many people you greet, cards you part with, or phone numbers and email addresses you acquire. It s about how you stand out. After all if everybody is networking and vying to get noticed, what makes you so special? What makes your card any different than the twenty others that potential client tossed aside after that function?

This doesn t mean you have to wear a 10ft bright pink hat everywhere you go, but you can apply the same line of thinking to traditional marketing and networking practises. If we were giving you only one tip to ensure you get noticed, and more importantly – remembered, it would be this.

A business card is more than just a thick piece of paper with your company info on it. Whether it s the design, finish or size, make yours different! How about double-sided, matt or gloss lamination finish or rounded corners? It s all about catching somebody s eye and being the first person they think of.

How You Start a Business – Your Business Plan

Before you start your business, set up a realistic business plan. What is your business? Know the main goal, whether you’re aiming for the luxury market or cheap mass market. Know your objectives and strategies. How will the business be structured? Where will you get funding? What is your market? Who are you competing against, and what does the competition charge for similar products or services? What are your financial forecasts? Don’t put on the rose colored glasses with these projections or you’ll doom the business from the start. A business plan that covers all these details will help you get a loan, because you’ve demonstrated that you’ve thought things through.

Other considerations between printing methods are things such as Weight and type of Stock, run length, turnround, quality, colour range required, use of metallic Inks & UV varnishing. This will also generally lead to the Litho Printing process being selected.

    • More efficient and cheaper for large volumes
    • More Pantone ink choices available
    • better at very thin and heavy stock
    • Fast Turnaround of jobs
    • Less expensive for low volumes print

    • More customisable

Protect Your Company with Business Insurance

When you own a business of any kind, you need an insurance policy that will protect it. In particular, you need business insurance that perfectly suits your industry, and we are proud to offer it. When you get an insurance policy from us, you are taking the first step toward protecting your business, your employees, and yourself. We are happy to assist you with the process of obtaining the best insurance policy for your business, starting with an overview of the types of coverage you can expect.

    Cheap business insurance

General liability is one of the main coverage types you will get in your business insurance policy. You typically need this coverage if you want to rent property for your business. This is because it will protect you from any lawsuits that could threaten your business when someone accuses you of wrongdoing. Whether someone is injured on your property or one of your products causes harm, general liability insurance can help by paying for your legal defense.

    business owners Policy (BOP)

A BOP includes a few types of coverage that benefit business owners. In fact, you can customize it to your needs, adding the coverage you will need in your particular industry. When you include a BOP in your business insurance, you can rest assured you will not lose income in case of a disaster. This is because the policy usually pays for the repair or replacement of business property when necessary, to name just one type of coverage.

    workers comp Insurance

    Cheap business insurance

Whether you employ one person or hundreds of people, you need to obtain workers compensation when you get business insurance. This way, if an employee is injured, sick, or killed while working, you will not be personally liable for medical expenses or funeral costs. Your employees and their family will not be liable, either. Instead, your workers comp policy will pay for any necessary expenses.

    professional liability Insurance (E O)

In any industry, a simple mistake made by employees can cost customers a lot of money, and they might feel compelled to sue your business to recoup their costs. But when you have professional liability insurance, you can feel confident that your employee’s mistake will not cause you to lose money or even your business if you are sued as a result. That’s why you need to include professional liability coverage in your business insurance policy.

    business auto Insurance

    Cheap business insurance

There are many reasons to use a vehicle for business purposes. Whether you do it often or infrequently, you need business auto insurance. After all, your personal auto insurance policy will not cover any expenses when you cause a car accident while driving for business. If you have several employees who drive for your business, you need a business auto insurance policy that covers all of them.

    Getting Quotes

Now that you know the types of coverage you need when you get business insurance, you should start obtaining quotes for the policy that best suits your needs. Our team is professional and knowledgeable when it comes to business insurance, so please call today to discuss your options.

Our highly trained professionals are ready to assist you in getting the best business insurance coverages for your money.

Digital printing machines simpler and cheaper to buy than litho and will generally be quicker and cheaper for small runs (generally up to 500). Litho is better for printing thousands of leaflets which is why we use both these technologies, and choose the right method for every job.

    • Less paper waste
    • More customisable

Is the Stock Market Cheap? dshort – Advisor Perspectives #business #directories

    #current stock market prices

    #

Here is a new update of a popular market valuation method using the most recent Standard Poor’s “as reported” earnings and earnings estimates and the index monthly average of daily closes for the past month. For the earnings, see the table below created from Standard Poor’s latest earnings spreadsheet.

    The Valuation Thesis

A standard way to investigate market valuation is to study the historic Price-to-Earnings (P/E) ratio using reported earnings for the trailing twelve months (TTM). Proponents of this approach ignore forward estimates because they are often based on wishful thinking, erroneous assumptions, and analyst bias.

The “price” part of the P/E calculation is available in real time on TV and the Internet. The “earnings” part, however, is more difficult to find. The authoritative source is the Standard Poor’s website, where the latest numbers are posted on the earnings page .

The table here shows the TTM earnings based on “as reported” earnings and a combination of “as reported” earnings and Standard Poor’s estimates for “as reported” earnings for the next few quarters. The values for the months between are linear interpolations from the quarterly numbers.

The average P/E ratio since the 1870’s has been about 16.7. But the disconnect between price and TTM earnings during much of 2009 was so extreme that the P/E ratio was in triple digits as high as the 120s in the Spring of 2009. In 1999, a few months before the top of the Tech Bubble, the conventional P/E ratio hit 34. It peaked close to 47 two years after the market topped out.

As these examples illustrate, in times of critical importance, the conventional P/E ratio often lags the index to the point of being useless as a value indicator. “Why the lag?” you may wonder. “How can the P/E be at a record high after the price has fallen so far?” The explanation is simple. Earnings fell faster than price. In fact, the negative earnings of 2008 Q4 (-$23.25) is something that has never happened before in the history of the S P 500.

Let’s look at a chart to illustrate the unsuitability of the TTM P/E as a consistent indicator of market valuation.

Legendary economist and value investor Benjamin Graham noticed the same bizarre P/E behavior during the Roaring Twenties and subsequent market crash. Graham collaborated with David Dodd to devise a more accurate way to calculate the market’s value, which they discussed in their 1934 classic book, Security Analysis. They attributed the illogical P/E ratios to temporary and sometimes extreme fluctuations in the business cycle. Their solution was to divide the price by a multi-year average of earnings and suggested 5, 7 or 10-years. In recent years, Yale professor and Nobel laureate Robert Shiller, the author of Irrational Exuberance. has popularized the concept to a wider audience of investors and has selected the 10-year average of “real” (inflation-adjusted) earnings as the denominator. Shiller refers to this ratio as the Cyclically Adjusted Price Earnings Ratio, abbreviated as CAPE, or the more precise P/E10, which is our preferred abbreviation.

The Correlation between the S P Composite and its P/E10

As the chart below illustrates, the P/E10 closely tracks the real (inflation-adjusted) price of the S P Composite. In fact, the detrended correlation between the two since 1881, the year when the first decade of average earnings is available, is 0.9977. (Note: A perfect positive correlation would be 1 and the absence of correlation would be 0).

The historic P/E10 average is 16.7. After dropping to 13.3 in March 2009, the ratio rebounded to an interim high of 23.5 in February of 2011 and then hovered in the 20-to-21 range. It began rising again in late 2013 and hit a new interim high of 27.0 in February of 2015. It has now dropped below that high.

Of course, the historic P/E10 has never flat-lined on the average. On the contrary, over the long haul it swings dramatically between the over- and under-valued ranges. If we look at the major peaks and troughs in the P/E10, we see that the high during the Tech Bubble was the all-time high above 44 in December 1999. The 1929 high of 32.6 comes in at a distant second. The secular bottoms in 1921, 1932, 1942 and 1982 saw P/E10 ratios in the single digits.

The chart also includes a regression trendline through the P/E10 ratio for the edification of anyone who believes the price-earnings ratio has naturally tended higher over time as markets evolve. The latest ratio is 41% above trend, up from 39% above last month.

Where does the current valuation put us?

For a more precise view of how today’s P/E10 relates to the past, our chart includes horizontal bands to divide the monthly valuations into quintiles five groups, each with 20% of the total. Ratios in the top 20% suggest a highly overvalued market, the bottom 20% a highly undervalued market. What can we learn from this analysis? The Financial Crisis of 2008 triggered an accelerated decline toward value territory, with the ratio dropping to the upper second quintile (from the bottom) in March 2009. The price rebound since the 2009 low pushed the ratio back into the top quintile, hovered around that boundary and has now moved higher.

A cautionary observation is that when the P/E10 has fallen from the top to the second quintile, it has eventually declined to the lowest quintile and bottomed in single digits. Based on the latest 10-year earnings average, to reach a P/E10 in the high single digits would require an S P 500 price decline well below 1000. Of course, a happier alternative would be for corporate earnings to continue their strong and prolonged surge. If the 2009 trough was not a P/E10 bottom, when might we see it occur? These secular declines have ranged in length from over 19 years to as few as three.

We can also use a percentile analysis to put today’s market valuation in the historical context. As the chart below illustrates, latest P/E10 ratio is approximately at the 95th percentile of this series.

    Deviation from the Mean

Here are a pair of charts illustrating the historic P/E 10 ratio from its mean (average) and geometric mean with callouts for peaks and troughs along with the latest values.

Relative to the mean, the market remains quite expensive, with the ratio approximately 62% above its arithmetic mean and 75% above its geometric mean.

    The Prevailing Question.

Was March 2009 the beginning of a secular bull market? Perhaps, and certainly the new all-time highs repeatedly set over the past several months are conspicuous tick marks for the optimists. But the history of market valuations suggests a cautious perspective.

    Additional Notes

What Are the Impacts of Low Interest Rates and Inflation on Market Valuations?

For more on this topic, see our monthly update:

Wouldn’t Valuations Be Much Lower If We Exclude the Financial Crisis Earnings Crash?

This is an often asked question, the assumption being that the unprecedented negative earnings of the Financial Crisis skewed the P/E10 substantially higher than would otherwise have been the case. While that may seem a reasonable assumption, a simple experiment shows that the earnings plunge did not dramatically impact the ratio. Let’s assume that the December 2007 TTM earnings of 66.18 remained constant for the next 29 months, totally eliminate the collapse in earnings of the Great Recession. What impact does this have on the P/E 10? The mean (average) only drops from 16.6 to 16.5. The lower bound of the top quintile drops from 21.2 to 20.8.

Mississippi Auto Insurance – Get a Free Quote Online

The key features of a great Mississippi auto insurance policy are value and service, and Acceptance strives to excel in both these areas. We offer a selection of industry-leading insurance products, including the following core types of coverage:

    • Mississippi mandates that drivers have bodily injury liability insurance that meets a minimum of $25,000 for each party and $50,000 per accident, and liability coverage for property damage of at least $25,000 for each accident.

    Basic Liability Coverage

If you drive in this state, you must carry proof of a Mississippi auto insurance policy with a minimum level of liability coverage. A liability insurance policy will only protect the other party in an accident if you were at fault. This includes automotive repairs, replacement of damaged property and medical bills for the other driver and any passengers riding with them. Since auto accidents can be very expensive, drivers often go for additional coverage to protect their finances.

    Comprehensive and Collision Coverage

You and your vehicle will be covered with comprehensive and collision protection, even if you are at fault for an accident. This type of coverage provides protection from the exorbitant costs related to property damage and rental car bills related to a collision, theft, fire, damaged windshield or vandalism. We offer a wide range of comprehensive and collision coverage with lower monthly payments for higher-deductible plans, so you can get the policy that’s right for you.

    Uninsured Motorist Coverage

There are many drivers without insurance in this state, and many more are only carrying the bare minimum insurance that may not cover even half of the costs associated with a serious auto accident. If you want a Mississippi auto insurance policy that will keep you covered even if an uninsured driver collides with your vehicle, you should definitely add uninsured motorist coverage to your Acceptance policy.

Get the Best Car Insurance Rates

Get the Best Car Insurance Rates

Everyone knows you should carefully shop around when buying a car, but all too many drivers neglect to purchase insurance with the same level of care. Failing to thoroughly comparison-shop can leave you paying more than you need to for coverage, and far from getting the best car insurance coverage for your needs.

Below are tips to help you seek out the best insurance coverage at the lowest rate.

    What Is Good Car Insurance?

Getting cheap car insurance does not necessarily mean you bought the right type or amount of coverage.

Having “good coverage” means you don’t find yourself paying significant amounts of money out of pocket after an accident.

When you have found the right insurance provider:

    • You’ll feel assured that you’ll be able to handle the financial costs after an accident.
    • You’ll feel comfortable knowing you’re not overpaying for your car insurance.

Comparison-shopping for car insurance can help you make sure you’ve picked the right insurance coverage.

Deciding on the Best Insurance Coverage

You need car insurance to comply with state laws, to satisfy your lender or leaseholder, and to protect your assets.

Each state has different financial responsibility laws that dictate the least amount of insurance you must have. However, unless you have very few assets, the smallest amount of insurance is most likely not enough coverage. Talk to your insurance company about how much coverage and what types of optional insurance coverages might be right for you. These typically include:

    • Comprehensive.
    • Collision.
    • Medical payments.
    • Uninsured/underinsured motorist.
    • GAP coverage.
    • Towing and labor.
    • Rental reimbursement.

NOTE . If you have a loan or lease on your car, it will typically come with coverage requirements. Be sure you understand these when reviewing your loan/lease agreement.

For more information on what your state requires, please visit our section on state car insurance requirements.

What if I Have a Loan?

While commonly believed, it is actually a myth that your car insurance will pay off your loan if your car is totaled. In reality, it will pay the fair market value.

The fair market value, or actual cash value, is the sales price minus depreciation. A car depreciates at a surprisingly rapid rate. In fact, just driving a car off the lot after purchase decreases its value by an average of 10%. During the first 5 years, the car’s value depreciates by an average of 15% to 25% every year.

In the event of a serious car accident, you can be left with substantial costs due to normal depreciation. This is where GAP and loan/lease coverage come in.

To protect yourself from having to pay a loan on a car that no longer functions, you can purchase either:

    • Guaranteed Auto Protection (GAP) insurance – Covers the difference between your insurance payout and what you still owe on your car loan after insurance pays, without any maximum limits.
    • Loan/lease payments coverage – Also covers the gap between what you owe on the car and its current value, but only covers a percentage of your car’s actual cash value in the event of a total loss. This might not be enough to cover the gap between your loan and the cash value.

    Shopping Smart

    Ratings

Like most consumer purchases, different insurance companies charge different premiums for the same insurance coverage. However, all car insurance companies do not give the same level of service or share the same rankings.

Insurance companies are given a Best Insurance Ranking provided by the A. M. Best Company. Since 1899, the A.M. Best Company has provided ratings of insurance companies based on their financial stability. The stronger the rating, the more likely the company is able to pay if you file a claim.

Rankings range from AAA down to D.

    Sales Methods

Insurance companies use one of three methods to sell their policies.

    1. Exclusive agents. These agents only sell the products of a single insurance carrier.
    2. Independent agents. These agents represent many companies and can give you multiple quotes on car insurance to compare.
    3. Direct market. Sales are usually with one company and completed over the Internet, phone, or by mail.

All three sales methods have their merits. The most important thing is to get multiple quotes from the insurance companies you feel most comfortable comparing, as insurance rates can fluctuate widely from insurance carrier to insurance carrier.

    What to Notice

When you compare car insurance companies, you should pay close attention to the following:

    • The premium. This is the monthly cost for your car insurance.
    • Applicable discounts .
      • One company may offer you discounts that others did not.
      • Ask each insurance company you speak with about car insurance discounts for which you may qualify.
    • A. M. Best Rating. This rating indicates the financial strength of an insurance company and their likelihood of paying on your claim.
    • Customer service.
      • Most state insurance departments have lists of complaints against insurance companies. These complaints are frequently referred to as “valid complaints.”
      • The higher the number of complaints or the complaint ratio, the higher the likelihood of the company violating a policy, contract, or statute.

Doing your research when shopping for car insurance quotes can ensure you get the best rates, great coverage, and stellar customer service. In contrast, neglecting to comparison-shop can leave you with a policy that does little for you in the long run and can hurt financially if you get into an accident. Informed consumers always get the best deal.

How to Find Affordable Health Care

Many kids in the United States aren’t covered by health insurance, or are covered by plans with high deductibles and limited benefits.

If your kids are among them because you can’t afford adequate coverage or your employer-sponsored plan doesn’t cover everything, don’t despair. Programs are available that provide affordable even free medical care and are designed to meet or supplement a person’s medical insurance needs.

Your kids could be eligible for coverage right now and you might not know it. Here are some options that may be available to your family.

Enroll Your Child in a Public Program

Two public programs work together in every state to provide health coverage for children in low- and middle-income families: Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

Medicaid is run by states with a mix of state and federal funding. It offers health coverage for those with limited incomes, including children and parents, pregnant women, those with disabilities, and seniors. And kids might be eligible for coverage if they’re U.S. citizens or lawfully admitted immigrants, even if their parents are not.

CHIP is a program funded by the federal government that each state administers. It provides health coverage for American kids under age 19 in working families who qualify based on their parents’ income. CHIP is often helpful for families with incomes too high for Medicaid, but who are still having a hard time affording health insurance.

Each state has different CHIP rules. Some CHIP programs, for example, cover pregnant women as well as parents and related caregivers (such as grandparents raising their grandchildren). Each state has its own name for its CHIP and children’s Medicaid programs, too (for instance, the CHIP program in Delaware is called Delaware Healthy Children Program; in Connecticut, it’s called the Husky Plan).

To learn about your state’s CHIP and Medicaid programs and other services available to your family, visit InsureKidsNow.gov or HealthCare.gov. There, you can apply for CHIP or Medicaid online. You also can call 1-877-KIDS NOW (1-877-543-7669) to find out about the CHIP program in your state.

A child’s eligibility for these government programs is based on household income. Once your child is enrolled, you’ll receive a list of medical providers near you who accept CHIP/Medicaid patients. You can then make appointments with those providers any time your child needs to see a doctor and also be covered in case of an emergency.

    Find a Private Insurer

The majority of kids from low- or middle-income families will qualify for free or low-cost health care through Medicaid and/or CHIP. But now, through the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, many privately run health insurance companies will offer similar benefits.

You can find out if your family is eligible for a plan by visiting the virtual health insurance marketplace at HealthCare.gov. This government service and its website make it easy to apply for insurance and learn which programs are available in your area. By just filling out one application form, the marketplace allows you to compare and contrast the benefits of each plan, as well as compare out-of-pocket expenses like co-pays and deductibles for care.

Visit a Local Community Health Center

A federally funded community health center is another option for low-cost medical care for your kids. You can take your kids there for checkups, immunizations, treatment when they’re sick, dental care, prescription drugs, and mental health care.

You also can go there for complete care yourself, including when you’re pregnant and for substance abuse care if you need it.

These centers tend to offer medical care on a sliding scale based on your income. Depending on your situation, it could be free. These centers can help you get health insurance and usually will accept that insurance once you are enrolled.

To find one near you, visit the Department of Health Human Services (DHHS) health center page and enter your zip code under “Find a Health Center.” Check the website of the center near you about services, costs, and hours and call ahead for an appointment. Some community clinics are only open on certain days or for limited times.

Rural health centers, which are similar to federally funded community health centers, serve families in rural areas. You can find one in your state by visiting the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services website .

Also, visit the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics’ website to find a free or low-cost clinic. The U.S. has more than 1,200 free clinics, which are staffed by a volunteer workforce of doctors, dentists, nurses, therapists, pharmacists, nurse practitioners, technicians, and other health care professionals.

You also might know about urgent-care centers, which are different from community health centers, rural health centers, and free clinics. These centers are designed for people who need care right away or when their doctors aren’t in the office. They can be expensive and might not take some types of insurance. Be sure to check with your insurance company before going to one of these.

    Talk Dollars With Your Doctors

If your kids don’t qualify for a public program (such as Medicaid or CHIP), they need services that aren’t covered by your insurance, or you have a high deductible, you can try negotiating a reduced, cash-paying rate with your pediatrician before getting services. Cutting deals with doctors is done more often than you might think.

Start by asking: “Do you accept patients on a fee-for-service basis?” If your insurance has a high deductible, consider yourself a self-paying patient until that deductible is met. So, your discussion about money with your doctor might begin like this: “I’m going to have to pay 20% of the cost of that procedure and I can’t afford it” or “that’s not covered by my insurance.” Talking dollars can be helpful because the doctor might be able to suggest less expensive treatments.

And don’t be afraid to shop around for a doctor who can provide care at the lowest price. If specialist A agrees to do a certain type of surgery for $2,000, for example, and surgeon B can do it for $1,500, you’ll save $500 by going to doctor B. But be sure that you’re never compromising the quality of your child’s health care for cost. When comparing rates, look for providers who’ve been referred by your doctor or another source you trust.

For suggested self-pay rates on a variety of medical services, visit Health Care Bluebook’s website .

Because each provider typically receives payment separately, be prepared to negotiate with each provider your child sees. If the procedure you’re discussing for your child requires general anesthesia, for example, be sure to ask the surgeon which anesthesiologist she works with and contact that doctor, too, to negotiate a cash-paying price for his services. And don’t forget to ask if there’s a facility fee for where the surgery takes place and negotiate that, too.

    Find a Safety-Net Hospital

In 1946 Congress passed the Hill-Burton Act, which gave hospitals and other health care facilities money for construction and modernization. In return, hospitals agreed to provide a reasonable volume of services to people who can’t pay. The program stopped receiving funds in 1997, but about 170 health care facilities nationwide still must provide free or low-cost medical services. These “safety-net hospitals” are committed to providing access to care for people with limited or no access to health care due to their financial situation, insurance status, or health condition.

There are safety-net hospitals in every state except Alaska, Indiana, Maryland, Minnesota, Nebraska, Nevada, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Wyoming, and all the territories except Puerto Rico.

To qualify for free care at a safety-net hospital, you generally have to make a gross yearly income of less than $23,550 for a family of four. If you make more than that, you still may be eligible for reduced-cost care if your income is up to double that amount.

You can get more information or find a safety-net hospital near you on DHHS’s safety-net hospital page .

Challenge: To help cut costs and time to market, most web hosting companies use one of three widely distributed control panels. Generally, doing so means that their features are identical to those of other companies using the same software, and higher level support is outsourced to a third party. When a security gap is discovered or an improvement is needed, an

outside vendor must be contacted for a solution. That vendor would then contact the developer, who in most cases is located in another country. If the developer feels the request has merit, they would implement a solution and release a patch. Due to so many parties being involved in the process, the amount of time from the initial request to a final solution could be days if not months.

Solution: We have developed our own control panel. and assembled all of the software powering our servers from the ground up. Many of its features are unique, and are not available anywhere else. Our blazing fast webmail has more features than most desktop email clients, and includes proprietary spam filtering technology which keeps junk mail away while

making sure good messages are delivered at virtually the same time they are sent. A dedicated team of in-house developers maintains our software, with a large portion of their time being devoted to security enhancement and new product development. When a new feature is created or an upgrade is released, our proprietary Rapid Update utility instantly updates every server at virtually the same time. This technology enables us to perform software upgrades within minutes across our entire network of servers (click here to see the upgrades we have done within the past year). Ford Fiesta review: can new version remain Britain – s favourite car?

Ford Fiesta review: can new version remain Britain’s favourite car?

F ord has sold more than 4.5 million Fiestas in the UK since its launch in 1976, a million of which were the predecessor of the car you see here. So this latest Fiesta has awfully big boots to fill, which Ford aims to achieve by offering a smarter interior, more space and a glut of new technology, along with a model line-up that ranges from the basic three- or five-door hatchbacks to the sporty ST and more luxurious Vignale.

The engine range features a 1.1-litre petrol, a 1.0-litre turbocharged ‘Ecoboost’ petrol, and a 1.5 turbodiesel, while the long list of talented rivals includes the Nissan Micra. Seat Ibiza. Skoda Fabia. Vauxhall Corsa. Mazda2. Hyundai i20 and plenty more besides.

    Space 7/10

Bigger than the old model, but only just

T here’s no doubt the latest Fiesta is a larger car on the outside than the one it replaces, but somehow that doesn’t translate to huge gains in interior space. The boot, for example, is only marginally bigger than before, and thus still comfortably beaten by the Skoda Fabia and Seat Ibiza. You also need to pay extra for an adjustable boot floor to level the load space when the rear seats are folded.

R ear seat passengers don’t gain by a huge amount over the old Fiesta either, for while it is possible to carry one tall adult behind another, anybody over six-foot will find their head brushing the roof lining and their knees touching the seat in front. What’s more, the narrow base of the door makes it awkward to swing a pair of size 10s in and out of the car.

If anything it’s in the front that the Fiesta feels like a slightly bigger and more grown up car than before, helped by its smart design, large windows and a sensible amount of storage.

    Comfort 10/10

    Excellent by any measure

F ord has done well not to mess with what has long been a winning formula as far as the Fiesta’s suspension is concerned, meaning the new model soaks up bumps brilliantly, without ever feeling too soft. It’s at its best on 16-inch wheels or smaller, but even upgrading to 17-inch rims isn’t as disastrous for ride comfort as one might expect.

Road noise is about as well contained as you could hope for in a car of this size, and while there’s some wind noise at motorway speeds it’s far from intrusive.

D rivers of all sizes should be able to find a good driving position thanks to plenty of adjustment in the controls, and the petrol engines are impressively smooth throughout the rev range. Ford’s 1.5 diesel engine isn’t quite such a refined performer in the Fiesta, but is only expected to account for a tiny percentage of sales.

Book a free Ford Fiesta home test drive

T he view out of the Fiesta is no better than many of its rivals (and some, such as the Peugeot 208, have even better visibility), so it’s a shame that the otherwise well-equipped Zetec misses out on parking sensors or Ford’s rear view camera as standard.

T hat said, the way Ford has made the pedals and steering so precisely weighted means that the Fiesta is still a very intuitive car to drive, and the turbocharged Ecoboost engine in particular responds well. The gearboxes are also light and accurate to use, if missing the satisfying action of the previous Fiesta, while the six-speed automatic is smooth, if not the quickest to respond when you need a downshift.

    Fun to drive 10/10

    An absolute joy to drive

Q uite simply this latest Fiesta is a joy to drive, with the kind of steering accuracy and overall agility that is sure to put a smile on your face when you hit a winding back road. It also has strong, responsive brakes, tremendous front-end grip and just enough body lean to let you know when you’re trying, without ever feeling wayward.

True, the non-turbo 1.1-litre engine can feel a little flat, but opt for any of the 1.0-litre turbocharged Ecoboost units and you’ll have easily enough performance.

    Reliability 7/10

    Rivals offer much longer warranties

Ford’s warranty lasts for three years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. It’s about the minimum a manufacturer can get away with these days, with others offering much better alternatives, such as the four years you get with a Renault Clio, the five years offered on a Toyota Yaris or Hyundai i20, or the seven years supplied with a Kia Rio.

A t least Ford has a reasonably good reputation for reliability. The manufacturer came 7th out of the 24 included in the 2016 JD Power Vehicle Dependability Survey, placing it above Nissan, Renault and Honda. In addition, the previous version of the Fiesta scores highly in the Warranty Direct Reliability Index based on the frequency and cost of aftermarket warranty claims, which bodes well for running costs in the longer term.

Our team analyzed auto insurance quotes for four types of drivers across multiple companies in Alabama to find who had the best rates by insurer and city. Rates varied from city to city, but the greatest gap came from what insurers quoted. The most expensive carrier charged as much as 2.5x the cheapest auto insurance company in Alabama. This is why motorists in the Heart of Dixie should compare several quotes if they’re looking for good rates. Enter your zip code above to start shopping among top insurers in your area for great car insurance rates.

    Cheapest Auto Insurance in Alabama

Based on these results, we found the cheapest auto insurance rates in Alabama at: Progressive, United Services, ACCC, National General and Infinity.

Find the Cheapest Auto Insurance Quotes in Your Area

    Auto Insurance Company

Your actual rates are dictated by your record and history as a driver, and we always recommend consumers to compare across at least three insurers to find the best match. Cheap Car Insurance in Alabama: by City

The table below lists the companies with the cheapest auto insurance rates in each Alabama city in our study. Note that these annual premiums are composite rates based on a typical 30 year old male driver types of driver in the Yellowhammer State. Car collectors are in great company in Birmingham, with the largest collection in the world of both vintage and modern motorcycles and racecars at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum. It’s currently the only city in the Deep South to host the Honda Indy Grand Prix on the North American circuit. Last but not least, Birmingham is home base for the Porsche Sport Driving School as well. Residents here pay on average $1,226 to insure their cars each year.

    Huntsville, AL

Alabama’s third cheapest city is situated in the Tennessee Valley. The average cost of insuring a vehicle in Huntsville is $1,168 for our sample, about $80 less than what other state residents may pay. Rates here are already low, but if you’re looking to go lower, start at Progressive, National General and United Services, the cheapest three auto insurers in Huntsville. Tuscaloosa, AL

Rounding out our top five list of cheapest cities for car insurance in Alabama is Tuscaloosa, also the fifth largest city in the state with 90,000 residents. Home to the University of Alabama system and the Mercedes-Benz assembly plant, a 30 year old driver living in Tuscaloosa will pay on average $1,220 for full coverage car insurance. That’s just a tad less than the overall state mean. Based on the annual premiums we found the lowest auto insurance quotes at Progressive, National General and United Services for our 30 year old driver. Going with one of these three companies meant a premium that was lower than the city average by $430, which shaved about 55% off of what the typical insurer would charge here.

Average Cost of Car Insurance in Alabama: by City

The mean cost of insurance in Alabama was $1,249 as measured for our 30 year old male driver. Generally speaking, the cost of insurance did not vary much depending on location. In fact, the difference between the cities with the most expensive rates (Mobile, AL) and the cheapest car insurance (Dothan, AL) was just about 20% – less than other states in our other auto insurance studies.

    How We Conducted This Study

We collected quotes from a variety of insurance companies across 27 towns and cities in Alabama. Our sample driver was a 30 year old male who drove a Toyota Camry. To obtain quotes, we kept parameters for getting coverage the same, such as that he was single, had a good credit score and a clean driving record. The only parameter that changed was the zip code where he lived. The amount of coverage we opted for gave our driver bit more than what is required of state minimums. Below you can see the state required limits as well as the coverage used in our study.

    Driving in Maryland: Statewide Stats

The state of Maryland’s mandated car insurance requirement allows motorists to save money by enrolling in defensive driving courses and purchasing vehicles unattractive to thieves. That is one of the many discounts available in the state. Drivers are encouraged to ask about others, and explore the numerous options for cheap insurance Maryland agents can offer.

The most effective way of keeping your rates low is to let companies fight for your business! We recommend getting comparison quotes twice a year, or more. It is easy to do online, but you can always call and speak to a license professional who has access to many of Maryland s insurance companies.

    Insurance Facts

The average 12-month car insurance premium in Maryland was $1360 in December of 2013. Pretty expensive, if you ask us! In fact, only 5 states have higher average premiums!

These rates are due in part to the 15% of drivers who are uninsured. That and the fact that Maryland has a 5-year average of over 103,000 car crashes per year.

    State Car Insurance Requirements

    • Maryland mandatory minimum bodily injury coverage per individual is $30,000.
    • Maryland mandatory minimum bodily injury coverage per accident is $60,000.
    • Maryland mandatory minimum property damage liability coverage is $15,000.
    • If your vehicle has been turned down by two insurance companies, or cancelled by one, Maryland offers the MAIF auto insurance fund. More information can be found here .
    • There are almost 4 million registered vehicles on the road in MD, and 4.1 million drivers.

    Did you know?

    • When first constructed in 1813, Maryland’s Casselman River Bridge was the largest in the world.
    • MD is one of the smallest, but most densely populated states.
    • It s also the wealthiest state in the nation (highest median household income).
    • Major economic industries are transportation, the Federal Government, food-production (especially commercial fishing), and medical research.
    • Some of the silliest laws we came across were: It s illegal to take a lion to the movies in Baltimore and, in Rockville, you can t swear while on the highway (although we re not sure how you would get caught doing this one)!

    DUI Information

Drivers convicted of a DUI in Maryland will face the following penalties:

    • up to 1 year in jail
    • up to $1,000 in fines
    • minimum 6 months license suspension

As of 2011, MD requires all offenders to have an ignition interlock device installed if your BAC was .15 or greater. Legislation is being pushed by MADD that would require the device for all convicted offenders, as there were 160 drunk driving fatalities in 2012 (representing 32% of all traffic deaths).

    The Bottom Line

Although Maryland s population is the wealthiest in the nation, that doesn t mean you have to pay higher auto insurance rates! Give us a call if you re shopping. A licensed agent can walk you through the process, compare your options, and make sure you are paying the lowest available rates.

    What is Health Insurance?

Health Insurance, also known as Mediclaim in India, is a form of insurance which covers the expenses incurred on medical treatment and hospitalisation. It covers the policyholder against any financial constraints arising from medical emergencies. In case of sudden hospitalisation, illness or accident, health insurance takes care of the expenses on medicines, oxygen, ambulance, blood, hospital room, various medical tests and almost all other costs involved. By paying a small premium every year, you can ensure that any big medical expenses, if incurred, will not burn a hole in your pocket. The plan can be taken for an individual or for your family as a Family Floater Health Insurance Plan.

Major Benefits in a Health Insurance Policy

    Cashless facility

Each health insurance company ties up with a large number of hospitals to provide cashless health insurance facility. If you are admitted to any of the network hospitals, you would not have to pay the expenses from your pocket. In case the hospital is not part of the network, you will have to pay the hospital and the insurance company will reimburse the costs to you later.

    Pre-hospitalisation expenses

In case you have incurred treatment costs for the ailment for which you later get admitted to a hospital, the insurance company will bear those costs also. Usually the payout is for costs incurred between 30 to 60 days before hospitalisation.

    Hospitalisation Expenses

Costs incurred if a policyholder is admitted to the hospital for more than 24 hours are covered by the health insurance plan.

    Post-hospitalisation expenses

Even after you are discharged from the hospital, you will incur costs during the recovery period. Most mediclaim policies will cover the expenses incurred 60 to 90 days after hospitalisation.

    Day Care Procedure Expenses

Due to advancement in technology some of the treatments no more require a 24 hours of hospitalisation. Your health insurance policy will cover the costs incurred for these treatments also.

    Ambulance Charges

In most cases the ambulance charges are taken up by the policy and the policy holder usually doesn’t have to bear the burden of the same.

    Cover for Pre-existing Diseases

Health insurance policies have a facility of covering pre-existing diseases after 3 or 4 years of continuously renewing the policy, i.e. if someone has diabetes, then after completion of 3 or 4 years of continuous renewal with the same insurer (depending on the plan offered and his age), any hospitalisation due to diabetes will also be covered..

    Tax Benefits

The premiums paid for a Health Insurance Policy are exempted for Under Section 80D of the Income Tax Act. Income tax benefit is provided to the customer for the premium amount till a maximum of Rs. 15,000 for regular and Rs. 20,000 for senior citizen respectively.

    No-Claim Bonus

If there has been no claim in the previous year, a benefit is passed on to the policyholder, either by reducing the premium or by increasing the sum assured by a certain percentage of the existing premium.

    Health Check-Up

Some health insurance policies have a facility of free health check-up for the well being of the individual if there is no claim made for certain number of years.

    Organ Donor Expenses

The medical expenses incurred in harvesting the organ for a transplant is paid by the policy.

    About

We understand consumers often need the lowest price possible when it comes to choosing an auto insurance company. Our customers also want the right amount of coverage to keep their family safe and protected from life s unfortunate accidents.

At Cheap Car Insurance. we believe in having the best of both worlds — low rates, excellent coverage and local reps who are there every step of the way. This is what sets Cheap Car Insurance apart from our competition. And that’s what makes us the obvious choice when it comes to your car insurance needs.

    Why We Exist

    Extreme Savings

Our emphasis on red tape removal and streamlining translates to serious savings for our customers. In a world where corporate bloat is the inevitable outcome of mega-sized insurance companies, we focus on the exact opposite: making things easier and faster. When other companies are saying, How can we add another step to make things better? we are asking ourselves, How can we remove a step to make things better?

We also do not spend billions on advertising like some companies in attempts to attract every customer in the world because we prefer to pass those savings on to you and rely more heavily on our customers telling their friends about us. That s how good products should be sold.

    Un-Corporate-Like Transparency

While other companies make empty promises about savings, we actually let our customers report them publicly for the world to see. Check out our Recent Savings chart to the left to view their unfiltered comments. True, not everyone saves money here, but most do.

We focus on improving the conversation with our customers, which has resulted in one of the highest satisfaction rating in the industry.

    Personal Customer Service

We believe in providing exceptional customer service and we hope that your time on our site is always a first class experience. Our support work is never outsourced to other countries. We also only hire experienced reps who help us respond faster than most insurance companies.

If cheap car insurance is what you need, then you ve come to the right place.

    The Cheap Car Insurance Commitment

We stand behind our commitment to do our best to get you the lowest auto insurance quotes online. Now it’s easier than ever to search and shop for cheap auto insurance quotes.

Furthermore, we know our customers want the right amount of coverage to help keep their family safe on the road. That’s why we emphasize on red tape removal and streamline processes to help find cheap full coverage car insurance rates and the cheapest insurance companies for our customers.

One Good Reason to Shop With Us

“After being with my insurance company for just shy of 10 years, and after having shopped at companies that everyone around my hometown swore were the cheapest (including unadvertised “bargain” companies and giant comparison shopping brands), I decided to shop here at CheapCarInsurance and ended up saving just under $1,100 off my annual insurance bill, which is a lot more than I ever could have imagined anyone saving, especially me, an avid online shopper and extreme bargain hunter [. ]

This is pretty ridiculous considering the fact that: 1st, I had regularly asked my former insurance company for reviews and discounts; 2nd, I recently got a speeding ticket in a school zone (which I am a bit ashamed to say) just before I switched; and 3rd, that $1,100 savings was before I got an additional discount for bundling my home insurance on my policy (which is a lot lower now too).

Unfortunately, and surprisingly, 10 years of loyalty did not pay off for me, and was replaced by a 5 minute quote that will save me thousands down the road. In short, our family owns 3 cars, and my new rates are about half my old rates; so not bad for the little additional time it took to compare quotes and digitally sign a policy.

Obviously, not everyone will save nearly as much as I did, but it’s well worth your 5 minutes to find out, even if you end up only saving a few hundred dollars per year, potentially adding up to thousands over a couple years.”

Whether you need a free car insurance quote or are just shopping around, by filling out our easy-to-use form, we’ll find the best and cheapest full coverage car insurance options tailored to your insurance needs. At Cheap Car Insurance, we are the simplest and safest way to save money on your car insurance!

How Much Did You Save With Us?

Tell us how much you saved on your car insurance, and we might just feature your savings right here on our site along with our other top savers!

Best sources for cheap business cards

You hear it time and time again: networking, networking, networking. It s the professional crux that most fall into as we transition further into the digital age and begin to rely increasingly more on social networking sites and quasi-professional job boards like LinkedIn and Monster to create our connections. And while they may be fantastic online resources, they don t carry the same weight in the offline professional world as a good, old-fashioned business card.

Fortunately, there are plenty of cheap alternatives for creating, customizing and printing high-quality business cards should your company refuse to print them or if you simply want more control of what your card says about you. After all, a top-notch business card often leaves a lasting impression — good or bad — well after handshakes and highballs have subsided.

Here are our picks for the best sources for cheap business cards so you can stop sweating bullets like Christian Bale in American Psycho and rest assured that your card ranks among the best.

In a way, VistaPrint is one of the pioneers of the business card world. The company made a name for itself a few years back by offering ultra-cheap printing in modest-size batches (250-500 cards) and a free 250-card run for first-time users looking to try out the printing service (shipping costs still apply). The site is easy to navigate, whether browsing free or premium business cards, and boasts thousands of premade designs in addition to the fully-customizable templates that let you add various levels of personalization (i.e. name, photo, contact info, etc.).

The service doesn t offer the highest quality available — what you pay for is typically what you get — and the cards are thinner and somewhat smaller than your traditional business card. However, VistaPrint is still a great option if you don t mind dealing with less-than-ideal construction and a watermark on the back in lieu of an expensive price tag. Premium card runs start at $10, but keep an eye out for the various ongoing promotions and specials throughout the week.

Just because business cards are an age-old tradition, doesn t mean they can t thrive in a digital realm. The popular card-creating site Moo boasts everything from traditional business and mini cards to free cards tailored specifically for your Facebook and About.me profiles. Hell, they even added a third side to business cards with an embedded NFC chips that activates various functions when touched to a smartphone or other NFC-capable device. Like other sites on our list, Moo offers a wealth of elegant designs and premade layouts housed within the site s Web-based app, providing business cards that can be tweaked and refined for a more personal touch.

A pack of 50 double-sided business cards starts at $20, but the thick cardstock and lavish ink look and feel phenomenal. Plus, Moo will send you a free 10-card sampler and allow you to customize your entire run of cards individually, meaning you can place a different image or design element on every card instead of opting for an entire 200-card run of the same, custom build. They don t come cheap, but they re worthwhile given the great quality and decent price point.

There are probably plenty of indie printing companies in the United States, but Canada is likely a different story. Jukebox, although not the cheapest on our roundup, takes customization and sheer design tenacity to the next level through its abundant variety of cardstock types — from traditional and embossed business cards to more obscure mediums such as wood and cotton. The site hosts an easy-to-use business card creator brimming with pre-built design templates, but you can always opt to start from scratch if you want greater control over the background image and overall design aesthetics.

Specialty business cards such as wood and cotton start in the triple digits when it comes to pricing, but you re standard pack of 500 or 1,000 business cards are competitively priced at an upwards of $60 or $70. The print quality is impressive as well, rigid and accurate, and the company doesn t completely scalp you on international delivery despite its Canadian roots. JukeBox is the way to go if you re looking for a moderately priced pack of business cards that stand out from the pack.

OvernightPrints is the Swiss army knife of online printing services, offering affordable options and quick delivery for all manner of printed products. They may specialize in brochures and announcements, but they also tout a wide selection of cardstock, designs and custom finishes accessible through the built-in wizard. Like most printing services, you can always upload your own creation, but the site does host an number of elegant, premade patterns for those of us who are less crafty or quickly need a set of business cards in a pinch.

OvernightPrints is also one of the few services capable of processing small batch runs of less than 100. You can order card runs between 50 and 5,000, with a meager 50-card run costing a mere $4.15 with free UV finishing, and the site is always hosting on-going sales for customers who subscribe to the mailing list or have the patience to wait for an applicable price reduction on a particular style. The cards are weighty and of higher-quality than the similarly-priced VistaPrint, but they re not superbly crafted either. OvernightPrints is a knockout when it comes to price-quality comparison though, especially if you manage to catch a promotion or just need a few cards to hold you over in a pinch.

Looking to stockpile an abundance of no-frills business cards that ditch the designer chic in favor of something more simple? GotPrint keeps it as basic as it gets, whether uploading your own composition or utilizing the site s barebones templates, and features several card stock options in varying sizes and styles. There are a few special shapes if you prefer to add a touch of pizzazz and uniqueness to your card, such as ovals and rounded rectangles, but they will drastically increase the printing costs and require you to manually upload your personalized design in lieu of using the built-in web app.

Aside from its simplicity, GotPrint is know for its quick turnaround and rock-bottom pricing. A standard 500-card run begins at around $50 and features great quality printing for the price, with stiff card stock and excellent inking, but it s not quite as nice as Moo or some of the more expensive services on our roundup. Although the customer service has been known to give clients the run around when issues arise, the pricing and moderate choice selection still make it a great source for cheap business cards.

    Honorable mentions

There s never enough room on our best-of roundups to include each and every service worth mentioning. Below are a few of the runner ups that offer fairly solid business cards for an affordable price. They might not be as speedy or convenient as your local brick-and-mortar print shop, nor do they offer the kind of stellar quality of our top five, but they re still not a bad choice given the price.

What did you think of our choices for the best sources for cheap business cards? Which service do use for all your professional printing needs? Let us know in the comments below.

Shared hosting is when you share a portion of the server with other users rather than rent an entire server to yourself. What Students are Saying about Affordabook

Why Do Textbooks Cost So much?

School textbooks aren’t cheap. The cost of books for a full year of college may top $1,000.00, whether you attend a community college or an expensive university.

Why are school books so expensive?

One reason for the high cost is specialization.

Another reason: some professors want their students to purchase their own research books, which are usually under contract through a publisher in much lower numbers than what may be found at a mainstream bookstore. And further, limited edition printings required by some courses, may cost more because the press run is smaller than what is normally done by large publishers.

Also, some universities, although diverse in their programs, have set curricula every few years, and have set a listing of special titles students must purchase for each class. And within these set curricula are several text listings that stay in the reading list for one to ten years at a time.

Where The Money Goes on a $100 Textbook

One way to save on your textbooks, is to compare prices amongst many online retailers and buy or rent them from the cheapest sources.

While the textbook price has dropped over 15% over the past three years (as of July 2016), prices are still too high for the average college student. That’s where Affordabook comes in. Dissolution of Marriage Procedure

We realize that filing a Dissolution of Marriage (Divorce) can be a difficult decision. We are not attorneys being paid by the hour; we charge a flat rate affordable fee. You will speak to a friendly, caring and knowledgeable case manager who will assist you with your needs. As we are not attorneys, if you require legal advice or need to know your rights, we suggest you consult with an attorney prior to starting a case with us.

STEP 1 On your initial visit or scheduled phone conference, you will provide us with the information we need to type your Divorce papers. Our fee will be paid at that time. ($250.00 without children or property) and ($450.00 with a child) and the cost of a mandatory parenting class which can be taken online costing approximately $20.00 each. Next we will schedule a follow-up appointment 5 to 10 days later depending on the complexity of your case.

STEP 2 At the second appointment, you will review the accuracy of the forms and we will make necessary changes. Your signature will then be required and we will notarize your documents free of charge. You may bring your spouse in to sign the papers at the same time or they may make an appointment to sign separately. In the event that your spouse does not agree to sign the papers in our office you do have 3 other options: 1) You can mail the papers to your spouse. They must sign their papers with a notary and return them to you to be filed in the court; or 2) File your papers in the Court first and then have the Clerk of Court forward your papers to the Sheriff to serve the papers on your spouse (additional fee, depending on where your spouse lives); or use a private process server to do the same; or 3) If you have honestly tried all means to locate your spouse and cannot locate them, the court requires a search and a publication in a local newspaper, a consultation with an attorney may be appropriate but is not required.

STEP 3 File your papers DIRECTLY with the Court along with the filing fee of $408.00. You may ask the court if you qualify to have the court costs waived! Please be aware that we will type all forms contained in the divorce packet that you request, however, the court, NOT US, will set your case for a final hearing to dissolve your marriage.

Accurate Noel Services will assist you with all your Florida divorce document needs. We DO NOT give legal advice and CANNOT represent you in court. We are form-preparers, also known as non-lawyers. We CAN only provide you with information and assist with document preparation. It s a great option over pure Do It Yourself (DIY) because if you make a mistake, it can stall your case for many months. If we are unable to help you, we do our best to refer you to an attorney who can process your case.

    WHAT TO DO NOW
Simply call us at (407) 599-0088 now or fill out the form in the upper right of this page to schedule your free consultation to discuss an affordable, fast solution to your divorce situation.

State minimum insurance requirements in California

In California, the state minimum coverage requirement is liability with limits of:
    • Bodily Injury $15,000 per person
    • Bodily Injury $30,000 per accident
    • Property Damage $5,000 per accident
Optional coverage in California (varies by carrier):
    • Comprehensive
    • Collision
    • Loan/Lease Payoff
    • Medical and Funeral Services
    • Rental Car Reimbursement
    • Roadside Assistance
    • Uninsured Motorist Bodily Injury
    • Uninsured Motorist Property Damage

Liability coverage is legally required in California and pays for injury and lost wages that you cause to another driver or their passengers as well as damage to the other driver’s vehicle in the event that you are considered “at fault” in an accident. The coverage limits are determined by each individual state and normally split into three categories. In California, the minimum is listed as 15/30/5 and explained below:

$15,000 bodily injury coverage per person. This is the maximum dollar amount that pays for a single person that you injure in an auto accident.

$30,000 bodily injury coverage per accident. This is the maximum dollar amount that pays for all injuries that you cause in an accident if more than one person is hurt.

$5,000 property damage per accident. This is the maximum dollar amount that pays for damage that you cause in an accident.

These numbers reflect the minimum limits required in California but higher coverage amounts are available with most companies.

Driving with a blood alcohol content higher than the number above will put you at risk of being arrested for driving under the influence. If arrested you’ll face harsh consequences and may face varying degrees of jail time, fines, driver’s license suspensions, and reinstatement requirements.

If convicted of a DUI, you can expect the financial obligations to extend beyond the DUI ticket to court costs, attorney fees, higher insurance rates, and potentially the installation of a Ignition Interlock Device to serve as a breathalyzer test each time you start your vehicle.

    Cheap Car Insurance

It’s expensive to get car insurance in California!

Dang! California is definitely not one of the cheapest states for car insurance. Dont worry, we got your back!

At The Zebra we’re all about helping you save money on car insurance. Since California might have cheaper premiums that makes our job a breeze! It’s easy to get started—we just need some basic information.

What’s the cheapest car insurance in California?

    California Tour Guide Scholarship

At The Zebra, we know better than most just what a pain buying car insurance can be. We also know that students suffer from higher-than-average policy rates. Talk about a double-whammy. That’s why, this year, we’ve decided to continue The Zebra’s annual scholarship with the goal of helping to alleviate the financial pressures of college-bound students in the California area, while also getting an insider view of the Golden State.

    Prompt

So, California students, we want to see your favorite road trip destination(s) in your state— from your unique perspective. If it makes sense to hit the open road and be our virtual tour guide, that’s great! But there are no limits to what we’re looking for: a narrated animation, a slideshow of memorabilia, an illustrated map of the best roadside attractions on the way. This is a chance for you to showcase any place you love in as an original way as possible.

    • The length of the road trip to your feature destination is inconsequential. So if you have an awesome spot in mind that’s just two miles from home, we want to see it.
