    Business management is essential for me because I have a great desire to successfully manage people and business projects, as well as to develop effective business-related policies.  I want to major in business in order to pursue my Bachelor’s Degree and become a true professional in business management. The reason that I am applying for the scholarship is that it will help me to pay for my academic tuition, academic resources (books, programs, etc.) and spend much more time on my studies.

    Today I have to work full time in order to advance myself with a degree in business management. I am currently pursuing my Associate’s Degree, but I am not going to stop my education. To become a true professional in business management, it is necessary to learn more about the key business strategies that will help to enhance management practices and develop the proper skills and abilities. I am going forward to achieve my Bachelor’s Degree.

    I am currently pursuing a career course that will help me to advance my leadership and management skills and have the opportunity to work in an advanced management field.В My specific academic goals contribute to my professional growth. Some of my academic goals include:

    • To develop effective leadership and management skills in order to apply these skills in practice;

Today I pay due attention to my personal development. I successfully deal with stresses and conflicts. A good manager should know how to avoid stressful situations which may lead to conflicts in the workplace. Besides, I use my creativity in decision making process to demonstrate the best traits of my character.     Thus, it is necessary to conclude that my specific academic goals and career plans will motivate me to study hard.     The Marketing and Management Technology program is a three-year career program that prepares students to work in a variety of technical occupations in marketing, retail and general management. Marketing technicians may be responsible for implementing a customer service approach, supervising a sales team and/or contributing to the management of a business. In addition, marketing technicians can provide support in the creation of a marketing plan for public, private, and non-profit organizations. It is one of two business career programs offered at Dawson.

    Objectives of the Program

    Emphasis is placed on electronic marketing and international business to give you the tools and knowledge required to operate in a rapidly evolving global environment. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be able:

    • to market goods and services
    • to participate in marketing activities in a client-based approach
    • to contribute to business methods and decision-making
    • to use computers and appropriate business software applications to respond to informational and analytical requirements in a marketing and business setting
    • to use problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to gather, analyse and interpret information
    • to effectively communicate in French orally and in writing in a professional context

    Career Opportunities

    Graduates may find employment in the public, private and non-profit sectors. Graduates most often work for retailers, wholesale centres or companies specializing in the sale of products and services. In retail stores, graduates may work

    as staff members and may advance to positions such as retail store supervisor or manager. In electronic retailing, they act as coordinators of product delivery or management of customer service centres. In wholesale establishments and specialized industries, graduates may work as part of a sales team or as merchandisers or buyers. Employers range from small start-ups to large well-established corporations. In small companies, graduates are most often responsible for a variety of tasks, while in large or medium-sized organizations, graduates are assigned more specialized duties.

    Internship and Work-Study Option

    The Marketing and Management Technology program includes learning activities in the form of an internship and the Work-Study Option (ATE) to help students integrate into the workforce. Through these activities, students apply theory and skill acquired in the classroom.

    The Retail Observation Internship course takes place in the fifth term in which students are required to complete an on-site component within a retail environment over a period of five working days (40 hours). Two days must take place within the organization’s office or managerial environment. A four-week internship in the last semester of study helps students develop links to industry and prepare for entry-level positions in the marketing and management technology field through hands-on practical experience.

    The Work-Study Option, or ATE (Alternance Travail Études) allows students in the program to alternate between study terms and work terms in an integrated manner. The work-study terms take place in the summer following Term 2 and Term 4.

You might have some vague ideas about why this is the case – business graduates are in high demand worldwide, business touches on pretty much every aspect of modern human society, careers with a business degree are diverse and often highly paid – and these assumptions are likely to be largely true.

    But if you’re still not quite convinced, here’s a deeper exploration of the question, ‘Why study business?’

    First, it’s important to recognize that there are many different types of business degrees to choose from, offering different specializations and benefits, and applicable to people at different stages of development and with very different career goals.

    Types of business degrees

    The term ‘business degrees’ is typically understood to include a fairly wide group of courses, some highly specialized and others more interdisciplinary; some more academic and others primarily focused on practical professional development. You can categorize types of business degrees by level (ie. undergraduate, graduate, professional), and also by subject focus. Some of the areas of study likely to be covered by different types of business degrees, either directly or as supplementary elements, include:

    The goal of BPM is to reduce human error and miscommunication and focus stakeholders on the requirements of their roles. BPM is a subset of infrastructure management, an administrative area concerned with maintaining and optimizing an organization’s equipment and core operations.

    BPM is often a point of connection within a company between the line-of-business (LOB) and the IT department. Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) and Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) were both created to facilitate communication between IT and the LOB.     On the Business Management programme you have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad in your second year studying at one of Keele s international partner universities. Exactly which countries are available depends on your choice of degree subjects.     No additional tuition fees are payable for studying abroad but you do have to bear the costs of travelling to and from their destination university, accommodation, food and personal costs. Depending on the destination you are studying at additional costs may include visas, study permits, residence permits, and compulsory health checks. You should expect the total costs of studying abroad to be greater than if they study in the UK, information is made available from the Global Education Team throughout the process, as costs will vary depending on destination.

    This course will give you the skills you need to pursue a career as an entrepreneur or to work in business management as part of a national or multinational organisation. Previous graduates have gone on to work at organisations such as Coca-Cola, the Royal Bank of Scotland and even London Metropolitan University.

    Moving to one campus

    Between 2016 and 2020 we re investing 125 million in the London Metropolitan University campus, moving all of our activity to our current Holloway campus in Islington, north London. This will mean the teaching location of some courses will change over time.

    Whether you will be affected will depend on the duration of your course, when you start and your mode of study. The earliest moves affecting new students will be in September 2017. This may mean you begin your course at one location, but over the duration of the course you are relocated to one of our other campuses. Our intention is that no full-time student will change campus more than once during a course of typical duration.

    All students will benefit from our move to one campus, which will allow us to develop state-of-the-art facilities, flexible teaching areas and stunning social spaces.

However, as you progress and hire more skilled workers, your revenues should increase. Later on, you can also market your games, and choose all different types of genres.     UT Dallas Naveen Jindal School of Management provides a tool to study research contributions based on publications in 24 leading journals in major business disciplines. The database contains author and affiliation information on all papers published in these journals since 1990. Authors affiliations are recorded at the time of the paper publication.

    A single-authored paper results in the school of affiliation being credited with a score of 1. If there are multiple authors from different schools, each school gets a score of p/n, where p is the number of authors from the same school and there are a total of n authors on the article. If an author lists multiple affiliations, each of the schools that author is affiliated with gets a corresponding scaled score. For example, if one of the n authors lists m affiliations, each school that author is affiliated with gets a score of 1/nm.

    The database can be searched by any period between 1990 to the current year for any combination of journals, resulting in aggregated scores for schools. This provides a clear picture of contributions from each school for the selected journals and time period. One can also search the database by school names, author names and key phrases in the title.

    The Jindal School of Management also provides a ranking of the top 100 schools in North America and worldwide based on publications in all 24 journals for the last five-year time period. The school also provides links to prior rankings starting with the period 2000-2004.
