    Trump Tax Plan Cheat Sheet

    Business plan outline

President Trump and his team of tax experts, which includes former Goldman Sachs alums Gary Cohn and Steven Mnuchin, delivered a broad outline of what would be the biggest tax overhaul since 1986. And there is something in it for everyone.

    1. Keep More of Your Income, Delivers on Deductions

Americans can expect a sizable increase to the standard deduction allowed when filing taxes, permitting taxpayers to keep more of their income – to the tune of a couple thousand dollars.

Under the proposal, tax breaks for individuals and married couples filing separately will increase from $6,300 to $12,600. The standard deduction for a married couple filing jointly will jump from $12,700 to approximately $24,000, “so that a married couple will not have to pay taxes on the first $24,000 it earns,” said Trump’s National Economic Director Gary Cohn Cohn.

    More From FOXBusiness.com

    2. Protects Key Benefits in Place

    Business plan outline

While Trump’s plan calls for the elimination of the majority of personal tax breaks, Americans currently enjoying a trio of deduction benefits can rest easy. Mortgage interest, charitable giving and the practice of socking away money for retirement— tax free— won’t be touched.

    3. Death to the Death Tax

    Business plan outline

Whether you call it the ‘Death Tax’ or the ‘Estate Tax,’ it can add up to a serious chunk of change for families and family-owned businesses. Trump’s team is proposing to repeal it, along with the Alternative Minimum Tax (AMT), a supplemental income tax that follows different guidelines than the standard tax code. Often wealthy individuals are subject to the AMT. Back in 2005, Trump paid $38 million in taxes according to released returns, though experts say he would have paid less if not for the AMT.

    4. Businesses Catch a Yuge Break

    Business plan outline

During the 2016 presidential campaign, a then-candidate Trump frequently bemoaned the U.S. corporate tax rate, which is the highest in the developed world at 35 percent.

The administration’s new plan proposes cutting the corporate tax rate by twenty percentage points, from 35 percent to 15 percent, a move that would also apply to owner-operated companies, which includes many small businesses.

Additionally the Trump camp wants to transform the corporate tax process from a worldwide system into a territorial one.

A territorial taxation process taxes only the income earned by a company within the specific country, eliminating double taxes. The intention of this switch is to reduce the incentive for companies to move their headquarters overseas, thus driving investment back into the U.S.

U.S. corporations have at least $2 trillion sitting overseas. Pro-growth economists say these moves will boost hiring across small, medium and large businesses.

    5. Keep It Simple Filing Forms

    Business plan outline

90% of taxpayers need help when filing their taxes, according to National Economic Director Gary Cohn, who noted 7 billion hours are devoted to navigating the complicated system each year. No surprise here, the 1040 form has 79 lines and 211 pages of instructions. Instead of a single form, the IRS now has 199 tax forms just on the individual side of our tax code, said Cohn, who promised to keep it simple by “taking the current seven tax brackets we have today and reducing them to only three brackets — a 10 percent bracket, a 25 percent bracket, and a 35 percent bracket.”

It’s important to understand the value a business consultant can have on your business. (Note – this is not the same a business planning consultant). A business consultant does not work on a project basis. They are long term mentors that work with you regularly on a face to face basis to assist in growth and profitability. Most importantly, each consultant specialises in different areas of business and different business sectors.

New in 2014: We have provided website design services for a long time now but never officially. Our priority has always been and remains to be on our business writers. As dot-com owners ourselves we are proud to finally officially extend our professional design services.

A business proposal is not a business plan. It’s a professional document from one company to another in attempt to gain a partnership, sale, service or retainer. We can help you structure your proposal and also arrange it in a professional engaging way. It’s a sales document, it needs to look like that.

Investors and clients both engage better with brands than companies. Just like the business plan writing service we provide, the brand identity design service is equally detailed. Before we consider the creative stages we engage in research off your competitors and clients and what the best colours, icons and fonts would be to effectively sell your products.

Press releases are great for promoting new product launches, new hires and even a rebrand. They can also be used as a good way to raise some PR around your investment requirements.

Imagine a life where all your time is spent on the things you want to do.

Imagine handing a letter to your boss that reads, “Dear Boss, I’m writing to let you know that your services are no longer required. Thanks for everything, but I’ll be doing things my own way now.”

Imagine that today is your final day of working for anyone other than yourself. What if—very soon, not in some distant, undefined future—you prepare for work by firing up a laptop in your home office, walking into a storefront you’ve opened, phoning a client who trusts you for helpful advice, or otherwise doing what you want instead of what someone tells you to do?

All over the world, and in many different ways, thousands of people are doing exactly that. They are rewriting the rules of work, becoming their own bosses, and creating a new future.

    Free business plan

In The $100 Startup, Chris Guillebeau shows you how to lead a life of adventure, meaning and purpose — and earn a good living.

Still in his early thirties, Chris is on the verge of completing a tour of every country on earth — he s already visited more than 175 nations — and yet he s never held a real job or earned a regular paycheck. Rather, he has a special genius for turning ideas into income, and he uses what he earns both to support his life of adventure and to give back.

There are many others like Chris — those who ve found ways to opt out of traditional employment and create the time and income to pursue what they find meaningful. Sometimes, achieving that perfect blend of passion and income doesn t depend on shelving what you currently do. You can start small with your venture, committing little time or money, and wait to take the real plunge when you re sure it s successful.

In preparing to write this book, Chris identified 1,500 individuals who have built businesses earning $50,000 or more from a modest investment (in many cases, $100 or less), and from that group he s chosen to focus on the 50 most intriguing case studies. In nearly all cases, people with no special skills discovered aspects of their personal passions that could be monetized, and were able to restructure their lives in ways that gave them greater freedom and fulfillment.

Here, finally, distilled into one easy-to-use guide, are the most valuable lessons from those who ve learned how to turn what they do into a gateway to self-fulfillment. It s all about finding the intersection between your expertise — even if you don t consider it such — and what other people will pay for.

You don t need an MBA, a business plan or even employees. All you need is a product or service that springs from what you love to do anyway, people willing to pay, and a way to get paid

Not content to talk in generalities, Chris tells you exactly how many dollars his group of unexpected entrepreneurs required to get their projects up and running; what these individuals did in the first weeks and months to generate significant cash; some of the key mistakes they made along the way, and the crucial insights that made the business stick. Among Chris s key principles: if you re good at one thing, you re probably good at something else; never teach a man to fish — sell him the fish instead; and in the battle between planning and action, action wins.

In ancient times, people who were dissatisfied with their lives dreamed of finding magic lamps, buried treasure, or streets paved with gold. Today, we know that it s up to us to change our lives. And the best part is, if we change our own life, we can help others change theirs. This remarkable book will start you on your way.

Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP), Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Template, business plan template.#Business

    Business Continuity Planning

Business plan templateBusiness Continuity Planning is the way an organization can prepare for and aid in disaster recovery. It is an arrangement agreed upon in advance by management and key personnel of the steps that will be taken to help the organization recover should any type of disaster occur. These programs prepare for multiple problems. Detailed plans are created that clearly outline the actions that an organization or particular members of an organization will take to help recover/restore any of its critical operations that may have been either completely or partially interrupted during or after (occurring within a specified period of time) a disaster or other extended disruption in accessibility to operational functions. In order to be fully effective at disaster recovery, these plans are recommended to be regularly practiced as well as outlined.

In layman’s terms, a Business Continuity Plan or BCP is how an organization guards against future disasters that could endanger its long-term health or the accomplishment of its primary mission. BCPs take into account disasters that can occur on multiple geographic levels-local, regional, and national-disasters like fires, earthquakes, or pandemic illness. BCPs should be live and evolving strategies that are adjusted for any potential disasters that would require recovery; it should include everything from technological viruses to terrorist attacks. The ultimate goal is to help expedite the recovery of an organization’s critical functions and manpower following these types of disasters. This sort of advanced planning can help an organization minimize the amount of loss and downtime it will sustain while simultaneously creating its best and fastest chance to recover after a disaster.

    Disaster Recovery

Business plan templateDisaster Recovery (DR) is the process an organization uses to recover access to their software, data, and/or hardware that are needed to resume the performance of normal, critical business functions after the event of either a natural disaster or a disaster caused by humans. While Disaster Recovery plans, or DRPs, often focus on bridging the gap where data, software, or hardware have been damaged or lost, one cannot forget the vital element of manpower that composes much of any organization. A building fire might predominantly affect vital data storage; whereas an epidemic illness is more likely to have an affect on staffing. Both types of disaster need to be considered when creating a DR Plan. Thus, organizations should include in their DRPs contingencies for how they will cope with the sudden and/or unexpected loss of key personnel as well as how to recover their data.

Disaster Recovery Plans are generally part of a larger, more extensive practice known as Business Continuity Planning. DR plans should be well practiced so that the key players are familiar with the specific actions they will need to take should a disaster occur. DR plans must also be adaptable and routinely updated, e.g. if new people, a new branch office, or new hardware or software are added to an organization they should promptly be incorporated into the organization’s disaster recovery plan. Companies must consider all these facets of their organization as well as update and practice their plan if they want to maximize their recovery after a disaster.

    BC / DR Plan Steps

Business plan templateBusiness continuity / Disaster Recovery Plans come in various forms, each reflecting the corporation’s particular set of circumstances. The following are some of the general step required to develop and implement a plan.

Policy Statement (Goal of plan, reasons and resources Business Impact Analysis (how does a shutdown impact the business financially and otherwise) Identify Preventive Steps (can disaster be avoided by taking prudent steps) Recovery Strategies (how and what you will need to recover) Plan Development (Write plan and implement plan elements) Plan buy-in and testing (very important so that everyone knows the plan and knows what to do) Maintenance (continuous changes to reflect current situation)

    Business

Businesses can do much to prepare for the impact of the many hazards they face in today’s world including natural hazards like floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes and widespread serious illness such as the H1N1 flu virus pandemic. Human-caused hazards include accidents, acts of violence by people and acts of terrorism. Examples of technology-related hazards are the failure or malfunction of systems, equipment or software.

Ready Business will assist businesses in developing a preparedness program by providing tools to create a plan that addresses the impact of many hazards. This website and its tools utilize an “all hazards approach” and follows the program elements within National Fire Protection Association 1600, Standard on Disaster/Emergency Management and Business Continuity Programs. NFPA 1600 is an American National Standard and has been adopted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The five steps in developing a preparedness program are Program Management, Planning, Implementation, Testing and Exercises, and Program Improvement. Find out more about the five steps below.

    Program Management

    • Organize, develop and administer your preparedness program
    • Identify regulations that establish minimum requirements for your program

    • Test and evaluate your plan

    business plan writers

A PlanWriter business plan does not look like other plans you may have come across. The only way to understand is to take a look for yourself, then you can see why our business plan writing team is making waves across the world as we revolutionise the way people expect to view business plans.

Writing business plans is our business and main service. It’s all we do. We generally have free consultations over the phone, but if you want to put a face to a name and meet us, just contact us to book a time, we’d be happy to meet you.

The writing process usually takes between 2 and 3 weeks. In that time we have a unique client area for you to receive updates, connect with your writer, ask and answer questions and be as involved as you want to be in the process.

All research is done in house. While we are always happy to receive information that you may have gathered, everything is fact checked at our end to make sure that it’s both accurate and current.

Being a professional in your business doesn’t necessarily mean you are equipped to write a professional plan. You may be limited by time, industry knowledge, or even the inability to structure the plan itself.

If you’re not looking for funding a business plan is still important for internal growth as it will give you month by month targets of what to spend and what to expect in revenue.

No business is the same. Not even businesses in the same industry, so how can one template or software possibly cover everything. Especially when it comes to financials. Hire a professional writer.

We encourage you to do your market research and shop around before engaging with us. We’re pretty sure you’ll still come back to us.

    • Market Leaders We’re recommended by nearly ever major investment platform.
    • Business Experience Our writers have worked across hundreds of industries for over 20 years.
    • Bespoke Packages All of our business plans are tailored to our clients needs.

Once the writer has finished the written part of the business plan, it’s time for branding. – a free service. At that point you’ll be connected with a designer who will go through your current logo, colours and general brand guidelines to create an engaging and on-brand final business plan that is sure to stand out to investors.

If you’ve already written your plan but want us to review it before you submit or email it to your network, we can do so. Our writers try to return business plan review projects within 24 hours.

    Finance _

We have a lot of experience in writing business plans for crowdfunding campaigns and have a good success rate with them. We work very closely with some of the major UK crowdfunding platforms and our writers are trained to write for that market. Business planning for crowdfunding only has a few differences from traditional campaigns which can be explained to you during your consultation.

A business plan is a requirement for any new business loan application and our team can help you finalise your planning and even discuss what bank is most likely to lend to you.

Many of our clients have their own contacts for investment already and just require the writing service. These situations are very delicate and it’s important to not lose the opportunity.

We have made steady connections with many investment platforms which means we can offer you discounts off many finance-raising platforms and networking groups. This is generally offered on top of business planning service.

We have a large database of venture capital firms that we can provide to assist you in your fundraising. Ask your writer for it when your plan is finished.

    Grow _

True Story: Why You Don’t Want a Business Plan Writer, The U,

True Story: Why You Don’t Want a Business Plan Writer

It’s been years since I was making a real living off of business plan consulting (I migrated to business plan software instead), but I had an exchange last week that reminded me of one of the biggest problems – and most common misunderstandings – related to business plans.

Not that you, in your situation, should never hire a business plan writer, consultant or coach. In some cases that’s a good idea. But let me explain that after I tell this story.

One of my first engagements in business planning was as business plan consultant to a startup with three experienced founders. I met with them several times, listened always, and did their business plan. I built the financial model, wrote the text, and produced the document as a business plan document. But I wasn’t part of the team. I wasn’t able to promise to go full time. I was just the business plan writer.

It was a good startup. It had a good idea and, much more important, a market window, differentiation and experience to make it happen. The three founders had about 40 years of computer company experience between them. And it was a good plan too.

But there was a problem with the plan: The founders didn’t know it. They thought it was enough to have a plan, but it wasn’t. In every meeting I attended along with the founders, when there were critical questions, I had to answer them. I knew the plan. They didn’t. It was my plan.

And, in fact, the plan failed. My clients didn’t get financed, and the venture never launched. Of course I was disappointed because I spent a long time developing and revising that plan. I repeatedly changed financial assumptions and revised text.

So here is my advice about hiring a business plan writer, consultant or coach:

The best business plan is one you do yourself. Hiring out is threatened by the fact that good business plans in real business use last a few weeks at best. Business planning is about regular review and revision.

Consider hiring somebody from the outside only if you have the budget for it. It is conceivable that you don’t want to do it yourself and your time is better applied to other business functions. Cheap business plan writing strikes me as about as good an idea as cheap surgery, cheap dentistry, or discount sushi.

If you do hire somebody, look for a relationship more like coaching than consulting. Hire somebody who shares expertise and experience, makes suggestions, but doesn’t do the task so you don’t have to.

Don’t believe ever that having a business plan written is any good for more than a few short weeks. Business plans get old and useless very quickly. If you don’t have one you can keep alive, then you don’t have one at all.

    Business Continuity Plans

With Plan4Continuity, your business continuity plan is no longer a document gathering dust in a drawer but a live system

that contains plans, simulation schedules and audit logs of all activations as well as being a full management system of your

    business continuity activities and communications.

The five most important elements of continuity planning are people, assets, services, locations and vendors or suppliers.

They all affect each other and together make up the cornerstone of the business continuity ecosystem.

Plan4Continuity brings these elements together in your business continuity plans.

    Business continuity plan

    Locations

    Business continuity planning by location.

Your business may have different branches, regions, buildings, floors, departments ,even home offices and temporary remote sites. We call these entities “locations”. By dividing one’s business into locations one can manage business continuity more effectively.

    Business continuity plan

    People

People are a business s vital asset

People control and use assets, perform services and deal with vendors. They also make decisions, pay wages and liaise with clients. People, from plan managers to action owners, need to be involved in your continuity planning.

    Business continuity plan

    Services

Without services no business can function

Electricity, internet connectivity, IT support , telephony are your services, be they internal or external. Without these nothing would happen in a company. Disruptive event management needs to cater for alternative scenarios when these services are disrupted.

    Business continuity plan

    Vendors

Vendors need to be active participants

Vendors and suppliers of services are critical to the ongoing function of a business. They need to be active participants in your business continuity planning and form a vital link in the supply and disaster recovery chain.

    Business continuity plan

    Assets

A business needs assets to provide services

Knowing the assets that are critical to business operations is an important part of business continuity. Assets should therefore be included in business continuity plans, which can be simple service schedules or plans for when these assets services become disrupted.
