There is nothing worse in the world than being continually constipated day after day.

If you don t remember anything else within this article remember that having moisture contained within your bowel movement is the key to remaining regular.

So what foods are best for helping us remain regular? I m sure we have all heard which foods will help, and we will discuss them, but do we really understand why.

The right foods will definitely help. However, just like many things in life too much of a good thing can begin to have a negative effect so do all things in moderation.

So the right types of foods are those with fiber. The recommended amount of fiber in your diet per day is approximately twenty to thirty five grams per day depending on your size and weight.

Now if you don t currently have even close to that amount in your diet today you will need to sit down and begin to plan out your diet .

Begin to add foods like bran which is found in foods like breakfast cereal, brown rice, and breads.

As far as listing some very good vegetables to eat we must put carrots, asparagus, and Brussels sprouts on that list.

When it comes to fruit almost anything goes provided they are fresh. Some dried fruits like raisins, apricots, and prunes are also very good for your diet.

Now I m sure there are some of you that are saying there is no way I m eating Brussels sprouts; however, substitute what you don t like with something you do. Don t complicate it.

Now if you are like many of us we all like those foods that are bad for us. Many of the foods that taste so very good unfortunately create problems like constipation.

These foods over time will also cause many other very serious health issues if not eaten in moderation. Remember it is all about moderation.

So what foods are we talking about? We are talking about foods that are high in fat and low in fiber, such as, cheese, dairy products, almost all processed foods, and many red meats.

Again, eating these foods in moderation generally will not be harmful, or immediately cause constipation, but over do it and all bets are off.

If your diet is good and you are drinking plenty of water yet you still suffer from constipation on a regular basis with no relief in sight, it is time to consider other reasons for your problem.

Without jumping to the conclusion that something is seriously wrong I would first check on any regular prescribed medications, over the counter medications. diet pills, vitamins, or any other pills you have begun taking on a regular basis.

Synovial Fluid Analysis

Synovial fluid analysis is a group of tests that examine joint (synovial) fluid. The tests help diagnose and treat joint-related problems.

How the test is performed

A sample of synovial fluid is needed for this test. Synovial fluid is normally a thick, straw-colored liquid found in small amounts in joints, bursae, and tendon sheaths.

After the area is cleaned, the health care provider will insert a sterile needle through the skin and into the joint space. Once in the joint, fluid is drawn through the needle into a sterile syringe.

The fluid sample is sent to the laboratory. The laboratory technician will check the sample’s color and clarity, and then place it under a microscope to check it for red and white blood cells, crystals (in the case of gout), and bacteria. In addition, there may be a chemical analysis, and if infection is a concern, a sample will be cultured to see if any bacteria grow.

How to prepare for the test

Normally, no special preparation is necessary, but contact your health care provider before the test to make sure. Tell your doctor if you are taking blood thinners, as they can affect test results.

How the test will feel

Occasionally, the health care provider will first inject local anesthesia with a small needle, which will sting. The aspiration is done with a larger needle and may also cause some pain. The procedure usually lasts less than one minute.

Why the test is performed

The test can help diagnose the cause of pain or swelling in joints. Removing the fluid can also help relieve joint pain.

This test may be used to diagnose:
