Facebook s Mark Zuckerberg says the most successful entrepreneurs share 3 traits

In a live Q A in Rome on Monday, Mark Zuckerberg was asked to name three traits of people who make it to the top.

First and foremost, successful entrepreneurs have a specific vision , the Facebook co-founder and CEO said. They pinpoint the exact problem that they’re trying to solve.

“If you want to build something great, you should focus on what the change is that you want to make in the world,” Zuckerberg said. “I see too many entrepreneurs who decide that they want to start a company before they actually know what it is that they want to build. To me, that seems backwards.”

Secondly, they surround themselves with other highly successful and motivated people.

“No one does it alone,” Zuckerberg said. “When you look at most big things that get done in the world, they’re not done by one person, so you’re going to need to build a team.”

To build the strongest team possible, look for people who excel in the areas where you’re weaker or less experienced. “You’re going to need people that have complementary skills,” he emphasized. “No matter how talented you are, there are just going to be things that you don’t bring to the table.”

Finally, the entrepreneurs who make it big are persistent. “Nothing ever goes the way you want it to,” he said. “People talk about overnight success, and that’s not the way it works.”

The ones who come out on top are the ones who refuse to give up despite the inevitable trials and tribulations they face throughout the process.

Zuckerberg concluded: “The biggest things that have gotten done in the world tend to be done by people who primarily believe in a mission and are not trying to build a company; by teams, not by individuals; and by people who just don’t give up.”

Calphalon Culinary Center – Venues & Event Spaces – 1000 W Washington

Can t speak to the classes but I can say with 100% certainty that this is an ideal location for a corporate team building exercise or event. Great kitchen, helpful kitchen staff, and beautiful equipment. Rental can be expensive but well worth it, especially if your company is footing the bill.

We have booked several events at Calphalon Culinary Center! It s one of our top places to recommend to our clients who are looking to stage a hand-on cooking party with our company, Parties That Cook. I work exclusively with,Tom McGinty, who handles all the event space and kitchen rental bookings. He is informative, responsive, professional and very helpful!

We recently hosted a meeting for 16 attendees, followed by an interactive, team-building event at the Calphalon Culinary Center. From the initial phone call to inquire about the venue, Tom was amazing. Responsive, courteous, and quick to offer availability, pricing, and options. Our group met in the beautiful boardroom for an hour meeting, then all moved into the kitchen to begin the fun! I love that the venue is BYOB- everyone brought their choice of wine. The Calphalon culinary cooking sets are the very best and it was a pleasure to cook with them! Tom and his staff were informative, funny, and were overall great hosts. Our attendees had such a great time that we stayed after (maybe a little too late!) to ask Tom and his chefs a ton of questions about the venue and their culinary experience. I would absolutely recommend Tom and his team, the Calphalon Culinary Center to anyone looking for a group option that allows the attendees to interact, have fun, and learn something in a beautiful setting! I am excited to book my next meeting with Tom and the team!

The Calphalon Culinary Center no longer offers cooking classes.

Yes, you will have to use Calphalon pots, pans, and utensils at this school. And you may even be subject to a bit of advertising. But these classes are seriously great. You can take either of the two kinds that they offer: hands-on for those who want to do it themselves or a demonstration class in which you sit in an audience and watch a chef do all the work. The best part is when you get to eat your creation! But hurry, because these classes fill up fast!

My husband and I went together to a vegetarian cooking class there. The facility is beautiful, the instruction was GREAT and most importantly, the recipes we made were amazing and delicous. We have used them quite a few times at home since going as well. It is an advertisement for their products but we have a lot of Calphalon products in our kitchen and they are great to work with. You even get a discount that day, if you buy anything after class.

Spain s Banco Santander SA said Wednesday it will take over struggling Banco Popular Espanol SA for the symbolic price of 1 euro, creating the country s largest bank by lending and deposits, according to a press statement. Shares of Banco Popular have more than halved year-to-date as the bank has struggled under the weight of bad loans leftover from the 2008 crisis. On Tuesday, the European Central Bank said Popular was failing or likely to fail, owing to a significant deterioration in its liquidity situation. Banco Santander also announced a 7 billion euro ($7.88 billion) rights issue, which it said would be used to cover the capital and provisions required to strengthen Popular s balance sheet.

The Hand Center of San Antonio – Doctors – 21 Spurs Ln,

#

Dr. Ramesh Srinivasan provided succinct, expert, and minimally invasive medical care for my open-fractured finger on my dominant hand. I 100% recommend him! Thank you very much Dr. Ramesh Srinivasan!

Dr. Srinivasan is a terrific doctor! Very professional and thorough. He really made sure to spend his time addressing my concerns which is a rarity these days. Most doctors just rush you right on out without giving you the opportunity to ask as many questions as you would like. I would highly recommend receiving treatment at this office!

Doctors are great but if you schedule a 10 o clock appt. it shouldn t be 11:45 when you are seen.

I recently found out that I needed a small surgery done on my hand. I have what is called de Quevain. Nervously, I looked up many doctors and came across Dr. Bagg at the hand Center of San Antonio. I read his bio and was very impressed with all he has done both in the military and outside the medical field. When I met with him he was very professional friendly and informative. He was also kind enough to make a special appointment for me on a Friday, since we do not live in the San Antonio area. He assured me this surgery was quick and painless. I m happy to report his staff was beyond friendly and professional. They made me feel comfortable and communicated everything that was going to happen to step-by-step. The surgery was in fact quick and painless. I was in and out in an hour. I recommend this doctor and to anyone who is in search of a great hand doctor within amazing staff.

Wish I would have gone somewhere else. If your deductible hasn t been met, or you ll be paying for any of this out of your own pocket, watch out. They don t tell you up front how much $$$ you ll be paying, and it is a new charge every time you return for a follow up, check, etc. And believe me, the charges are exorbitant. The bills will be coming in months after all is said and done. I feel like I was taken advantage of. I can t recommend them.

Money Flow Uptick/Downtick Ratio Money flow measures the relative buying and selling pressure on a stock, based on the value of trades made on an “uptick” in price and the value of trades made on a “downtick” in price. AT T Inc. said on Friday it has named GroupM North America Chief Executive Brian Lesser as head of a new advertising and analytics company. GroupM is one of the largest media investment management organizations, applying data and technology to maximize ad value. AT T didn t give much detail about the new business in its release, but Lesser will be charged with using AT T s customer data and growing content assets to build an advertising and analytics business. AT T is still waiting for its proposed $85.4 billion acquisition of media company Time Warner Inc. to clear regulatory review. The two companies have pointed to the advertising potential as an important part of the merger. Once we complete our acquisition of Time Warner, we believe there is an opportunity to build an automated advertising platform that can do for premium video and TV advertising what the search and social media companies have done for digital advertising, said AT T Chief Executive Randall Stephenson in a statement. AT T Inc. plans to sell $22.5 billion of corporate debt in seven tranches on Thursday to finance its $85 billion blockbuster deal to acquire Time Warner, according to the Financial Times. But the touted figure could change as the deal is finalized. The merger between Time Warner and AT T has yet to be completed and is undergoing regulatory scrutiny from the Justice Department. AT T shares soared after reporting earnings above Wall Street expectations on Wednesday. Analysts say the offering should receive plenty of bids as demand for high-grade corporate credits has been hot, with spreads tightening to record lows.

The S P telecom sector soared on Thursday and was on track for its biggest one-day percentage increase in more than eight years, boosted by strong results from some of its biggest components. The sector jumped 4.8%, its best day since March 2009, according to FactSet data. Thursday marks the third straight daily increase for the industry, a period over which it has gained about 8%. Despite that, telecom remains one of the laggards of the year, down 8.7% for 2017. The rally came after Verizon Communications Inc. popped 6.9% on the back of second-quarter revenue that beat expectations, as well as an expansion of its unlimited wireless data plan, which helped it recover from a net subscriber loss in the first quarter. AT T Inc. gained 3.3% on Thursday, building on a rally the shares had on Wednesday, which came in the wake of the company s own results, when it posted a profit that topped analyst forecasts. The S P 500 dipped 0.4% on Thursday.

The 5 best free online storage services

Online storage services that let you upload important files to a web-based server and access them from any of your other computers and mobile devices, are a brilliant resources for businesses.

Store, sync and share your files for no charge

By Howard Wen, Computerworld | Computerworld US | 31 Jul 2010

Online storage services that let you upload important files to a web-based server and access them from any of your other computers and mobile devices, are a brilliant resources for businesses.

They usually use a virtual drive that exists on your desktop in some manner, and it is linked directly to your online storage space. The contents of this virtual hard drive remain in sync across all of the desktops, notebooks and mobile devices on which you have installed the client software.

You designate which files or folders that you want to be part of the virtual drive; everything on that drive is then automatically uploaded to an online server. From there it is accessible (by logging on with a username and a password) from your other devices, either from another installed version of the application, or via a web interface. And you can grant other people access.

However, with so many to choose from, which one should you plump for? I chose five services that store, sync and share your files in the cloud: DriveHQ, Dropbox, OpenDrive, SpiderOak and ZumoDrive and put them head-to-head to help you decide.

I reviewed them using their desktop front-end clients, and I used only the free account versions of these services (because everybody likes free stuff). Most of these also offer paid upgrades; in those cases, I list the other options that are available.

Incidentally, until recently Microsoft offered its own data synchronisation service, called Live Mesh, but it’s now defunct. Another Microsoft service, Windows Live Sync, doesn’t have direct syncing access to an online storage space. However, features of Live Mesh have been incorporated into the upcoming version of Windows Live Sync as part of Windows Live Essentials.

The new Windows Live Sync will give you 2GB of online storage for syncing files. Unfortunately, the next version of Windows Live Essentials won’t run on Windows XP, so XP users may want to check out the services in this roundup.

How we tested

I tried out the Windows version of the desktop application for each service. I installed the client on two laptops – one running Windows XP, the other Windows 7. The Windows XP laptop was left in my home office, turned on and connected to the onternet. The Windows 7 machine was taken to various locations with Wi-Fi access. I experimented with files ranging from 1MB up to 20MB in size.

A note about security: While all of these services employ some basic means of password protection for your files, and most offer assurances that your files travel over ‘secure connections’, the fact of the matter is that you are still uploading your personal and business files to a remote server. So beware.

I bought a heating furnace from Cambridge Heating in Dec 2013. The salesman told me that there is 10 years warranty on parts and labor. I recieved a call after one year that one of the technician will check the furnace but I have to pay (89$ +tax) for the visit. This visit is to keep the warranty valid. It is unbelievable. It means that I have to pay about 100 $ every year extra. It is money grab. Don t buy any equipment from them. They may look economical but they are cheap and want take advantage of innocent people.

AT T Inc.

Technically speaking, familiar 2017 cross currents have resurfaced to conclude July. On a headline basis, the Nasdaq Composite has formed its latest key reversal a bearish technical pattern, in isolation while the Dow Jones Industrial Average has concurrently tagged its latest all-time high against a still bullish bigger-picture backdrop.

AT T Inc. plans to sell $22.5 billion of corporate debt in seven tranches on Thursday to finance its $85 billion blockbuster deal to acquire Time Warner, according to the Financial Times.

U.S. stocks opened higher on Wednesday, with major indexes hitting record levels as a number of bellwether companies reported better-than-expected quarterly results. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 89 points, or 0.4%, to 21,702. The S P 500 added 2.7 points to 2,480, a gain of 0.1%. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 14 points to 6,426, a rise of 0.2%. Both the Dow and the Nasdaq hit intraday records in early trading, with the S P 500 a few points away from its own record. Among the most notable names that reported, Boeing Co. and Coca-Cola Co. both topped consensus forecasts; Boeing shares gained 5.4% while Coca-Cola fell 1.6%. Both stocks are Dow components. Separately, AT T Inc. Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. and Advanced Micro Devices Inc. all rallied following their results. On the downside, Ford Motor Co. and Amgen Inc. were both lower following their results.

Shares of AT T Inc. were up more than 3% in premarket trade on Wednesday after the company reported second-quarter earnings after the bell on Tuesday that beat Wall Street expectations. The internet, phone and TV provider also reported wireless phone results that surprised analysts. AT T added 127,000 new wireless postpaid subscribers, far above FactSet s consensus for 20,500 adds, and the company reported record low churn, thanks in part to DirecTV. Despite the competitive environment, and solid volumes from T-Mobile, bundling with [DirecTV] drove strong wireless results, wrote Jefferies analyst Mike McCormack. The company lost 351,000 traditional TV subscribers in the quarter, though that was offset thanks to its internet live TV offering DirecTV Now, which the company said has half a million subscribers. But management admitted that cord-cutting in the TV landscape is still having an impact and in fact has increased. Comments around cord-cutting and OTT adoption bear monitoring as inflection in trends could indicate accelerating linear subscriber declines, McCormack wrote. AT T shares have declined nearly 15% in the year to date, while the S P 500 index has gained close to 11%.

Shares of AT T rose late Tuesday after the telecommunications company reported earnings above Wall Street expectations and sales in line with forecast. AT T said it earned $3.9 billion, or 63 cents a share, in the second quarter, compared with $3.4 billion, or 55 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter. Adjusted for one-time items, the company earned 79 cents a share, compared with 72 cents a share a year ago. Sales fell to $39.8 billion, from $40.5 billion in the year-ago quarter, primarily due to declines in legacy wireline services and consumer mobility, the company said in a statement. Analysts polled by FactSet had expected adjusted per-share earnings of 73 cents a share on sales of $39.8 billion. The shares ended the regular session down less than 0.1%.

Finish Line Inc. Cl A

  • Jul. 3, 2017 at 7:47 a.m. ET
  • by Tonya Garcia

Shares of Finish Line Inc. slumped 1% in premarket trade, after the athletic shoe and apparel retailer matched fiscal first-quarter profit expectations, but reported a surprise decline in same-store sales. The net profit for the quarter to May 27 fell to $8.1 million, or 20 cents a share, from $9.6 million, or 23 cents a share, in the same period a year ago. Excluding non-recurring items, adjusted earnings per share came to 23 cents, compared with the FactSet consensus of 23 cents. Revenue slipped to $429.8 million from $430.0 million, below the FactSet consensus of $434.0 million. Same-store sales declined 1.1%, while the FactSet consensus was for an increase of 1.6%. The company expects second-quarter same-store sales to decline in the low-single digits percentage range, compared with current expectations of 0.7% growth. Following low-single digit comparable sales growth for the combined March/April period, weak traffic trends, and a difficult product launch comparison in May resulted in comps coming in below plan, said Chief Executive Sam Sato. The company affirmed its fiscal 2018 profit and same-store sales outlook. The stock had tumbled 32% year to date through Thursday, while the SPDR S P Retail ETF has lost 11% and the S P 500 has gained 8.7%.

Payne Air Conditioning – Heating Inc – Contractors – 1048 E Oleander

#

1048 E Oleander St
Lakeland. FL 33801
(863) 686-6163

In the middle of moving to our new home and our A/C stoppped working. Called on a Friday around 4pm and they sent out a service tech right away. Got my A/C going with new freon and a new thermostat installed and it was cooling again. They were fast, prompt and reliable with great customer service. I would recommend them to everyone and would use them again!

Absolutely the worst customer service that I have experienced. Had a scheduled appointment one hour and 20 minutes later I contacted Payne in regards to the whereabouts of the technician that was late for our appointment. I was informed that due to sick calls I had to be rescheduled however no one called me to inform me the need to reschedule. The lady on the phone however did apologize and put me next on the list. One hour and 30 minutes later I received a voicemail I returned the call within 7 minutes to be told that because I did not answer the phone they sent the tech to another call and would put me next on the list again. I m pretty sure this company does not care whether they get your business or not. If you need air conditioning work I would not recommend using this company whatsoever. Awful

We had an appointment for an annual service call, tech said we had a leak. Day 2, another tech was sent out and he could not find it, said yet another tech will have to come out, one with a special tool to locate the leak. Day 3, two guys show up, located the leak inside and repaired it. In one week, I had to be home 3 days for them to locate and repair the leak. what a PAYNE! When they left, I discovered blue glue all down my wall and all over the white baseboard. This is fairly a brand new home and I was sick. They tracked in grass, which I guess can be expected, but then I had to clean my guest bathroom afterwards. Guess they felt at home in my residence.

Although this company is highly used in my community, did decent work with annual cleanings and is an expert with Carrier systems, I will never use them again for two reasons. ONE. They are expensive. They have a VIP membership if you pay a year in advance for your annual service you are entitled to something throughout the year (perhaps emergency service first call deal or something-you ll have to ask them). This deal is higher than everyone else s annual check and it s hard to keep up with. I ve gotten better service for less by just calling others outright . TWO. When they came out for an annual service call they said I had a leak. I paid for the service call. They sent a tech to verify the leak. I paid for that service call. Then they sent a third guy to fix the leak and I paid for that service call. The bill was double what anyone else estimated and involved three scheduled days around my work schedule. Everyone else would ve fixed it in the same call, with the same guy with materials on their truck. This leads me to believe their annual service a/c guys aren t well trained and/or they want to soak you for all they can get. My top recommendation is Wards.

Payne Air Conditioning Heating Inc

In the middle of moving to our new home and our A/C stoppped working. Called on a Friday around 4pm and they sent out a service tech right away. Got my A/C going with new freon and a new thermostat installed and it was cooling again. They were fast, prompt and reliable with great customer service. I would recommend them to everyone and would use them again!

Was this review ?

Awful

Charlotte Plumbing – Repair – 10 Photos – Plumbing – 1025 W

1025 W Trade St
Charlotte. NC 28202

I would recommend Charlotte Plumbing Repair to everyone in Charlotte. I found a professional plumber I trust for emergencies and for plumbing repair jobs that I don t want to do. My cost for service and repairs are always reasonable and I know exactly what I am getting from the get go. They show up when they say they will. They have been respectful and take the time to explain everything so there are no surprises on the invoice. They are courteous and respectful to you and your property, cleaning up thoroughly after the job. We called Charlotte Plumbing Repair in a plumbing emergency, and they were on the job in just about an hour. Their fast response time saved us from additional damage– that s why we will always call them first.

Quite concerned about stars this company has been receiving. Not only did we receive poor customer service, but we were also faced with the company s inability to comply with its contractual obligations, unsatisfactory and partial performance by its employee (Kevin), and the company s inability to provide relief to damages caused to the property by the employee. This company does not deserve the praise that they have been receiving and this should serve as a warning to those considering using its services. Legal action will be taken in order to recover damages.

These guys are great. Had a stoppage in my house and call them. They came out an hour after I called. Fixed my stoppage and even gave me advice on a future project and told what to do to save a thousand bucks. The price was just right too. They actually fixed a botched job that Roto-Rooter did. If you have a plumbing job and you want the job done right at reasonable price, call these guys. You won t be disappointed.

Did come quickly but we paid dearly. Very over priced for amount and kind of work. Would only call if could not find another plumber. They charged us on a Friday midday as if we had called late in the evening or weekend.

Chrome Heating – Air Conditioning – Heating & Air Conditioning #yelp,recommendation,san #francisco,

I called and they responded very fast. Great friendly and professional. I recommend Chrome Heating Air to everyone in my circle.

Two techs came out and gave me conflicting stories but the common theme was I was in need of a whole new system. The first tech said the capacitor that needed to be replaced and did a check to see if it was the compressor instead. The other tech came out replaced the capacitor and then said oh no it s the compressor them pushed a whole new system again. Instead I went with my warranty conpany and haven t had a problem. Follow up to this I had another company come out and let me know when they replaced the capacitor the tech did a bang up job left the battery in its box taped up with electrical tape. A bang up job which he fixed for a fee. All in all wait for the higher end companies or stick with your warranty this place only wants to up sell you to pay dearly for their terrible service

Do not call these people. Rip off! Did not do the job correctly. It was a older man! He said he would send me my receipt never received! Don t know if he started working for himself.

This is the 2nd time they have been to my house and both times they did great work. Very professional.

Michael was the tech and he was amazing. Very professional and he was able to come out right away and get us warm again. I will definitely use them again.

    Justin Sullivan | Getty Images

    Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg

Facebook s Mark Zuckerberg says the most successful entrepreneurs share 3 traits

In a live Q A in Rome on Monday, Mark Zuckerberg was asked to name three traits of people who make it to the top.
